This bed and breakfast is situated close to the bus station and just five minutes walk from the very centre of town. We arrived in Turku by train and walked the route in ten minutes so the location is good yet still quiet. Look hard, it's not easy to spot. The doorway looks like all the doorways on the block which is full of shops and offices. There is an entry buzzer to let you in; once you check in you'll have a key for this door. The B and B is up a couple of flights and there's no lift. It's not too bad but people with mobility problems should be aware of this. We hadn't booked in advance but there was a room available. We were checked in without fuss and while the owner wasn't effusive she was friendly enough. The bedrooms are off the main corridor as are the shared shower rooms. FRIENDLY, INFORMAL and QUIET BED & BREAKFAST

Advantages: You are given your own front door's keys so you can come and go as you please.
Disadvantages: You will need to share the bathroom with the other room.

I stayed at this bed & breakfast in May 2009 and found it easygoing, friendly and comfortable. It is a very informal & quiet place; the best way to describe it is by saying that the rooms look like you are staying at your best (girl)friend's house for the week end (basically, it has a very homely feeling). It is ideal if you are visiting York for 2-3 days or for a quite week end there. £30 per person, per night. The owner can arrange for all sorts of breakfasts (special diets, etc) and she will cook them in the kitchen in front of your eyes while you sit at the table. Disadvantages: When you have to leave :( ,cant garentee weather.

I my opinion this Grade2 listed Georgian town house.Boutique bed and breakfast.On Poole Quay,Poole,Dorset.Sandbanks,Sunseeker,Jurassic coast,The New Forset,Hisyorical Pubs,Gormet Resturants.The Merchant House has lots to offer,all rooms en-suite,lcd tv's,great breakfast,a fantastic holiday destination.www.themerchanthouse.org .uk With Poole harbour and stunning beaches,Sanbanks Shellbay and Studland,which can be all viewed by sea in the many boat trips which leave every 15 mins.Also you have the Light house theatre with the Bournemouth sympony orchestra and operas and plays.
