Advantages: Great shop Disadvantages: hmmm none really
...simular shop called "Revenge" The Oasis is one of the most popular shops for people of the Gothis, Punk, Skate etc scene to go and purchase new goods from.
The purchases are quite cheap too! But some items can be pretty dear but they are all god quality items to have in your wardrobe.

The Oasis also has its own piercing shop where you can have a wide range of piercings done, or they will simply help you out with a piercing you have already had done.
And why not visit the hairsalon where you can have wild hair and a range of colours within it.

I was only shown this shop about 1 year ago but it has become one of my favourite shops ever! It sells many items for the alternative, goth, punk, rockchick style. Including many items such as Band T-shirts, Converse allstars in many different colous and styles, New Rock gothics style boots and much more. The shop is about 4 storys but instead of going up levels it goes down levels. The shop is always full which makes the shop warm and sweaty eww but its such a great shop why moan about the heat it gives out!

When you walk into the shop is level one. Here is home to all the footwear ranges, Mens tops, Levis jeans, Goth style clothing, PVC clothing (yeah bondage i know), Emily the strange merchandise and much much more. Also upon the first floor is the jewellery section which hosts a wide range of jewellery from gothic rings to punk necklaces. There is also a T-shirt printing shop where you can have anything printed upon a t-shirt for around £5 or more depending on how much you want to place upon the cotton t-shirt.
♥ Other levels ♥
There are more levels to the shop but i am just going to describe them all here. There is a level of which sells pendants, make-up, bags, Gothic trousers and much more. This is one of my personal favourites, as i buy most of my make-up from this section i own the stargazer flurosent Pink and glittery eye shadow which is good but you get glitter alll over your face and indeed your parteners face too. Another level homes Gorls trousers, tops and converse styles in many different brands from emily the strange to ruby gloom. This level also has girl jewellery, belts and fishnet tights oo and also lingerie of the most wierdest styles! There is another level which homes all the Atticus and band wear, there is also a section within this level which sells beads, beaded braclets, Badges, pins, plectrum jewellery, Ear stretchers, Patches, Bags and purses. Within the band section to this level are t-shirts and some hoodies from major bands such as HIM, My chemical romance, Funeral For a Friend and many more, both the hoodies and t-shirts are of top quality and the colour doesnt fade much as they are black you would expect them to but they only run during the first wash. Also on this level is a sort of internet cafe where you can sit in your new favourite shop and speak to your friends about the surroundings around you. They also sell belts, sweatbands and hats upon this level. The Oasis also has its own piercing shop where you can have a wide range of piercings done, or they will simply help you out with a piercing you have already had done. And why not visit the hairsalon where you can have wild hair and a range of colours within it.

Small children may find this shop a little "freaky" so perhaps its not best to take very young children into this shop as they may get disturbed by their surroundings especially if a big Gothic person comes walking behind or infront of them. Also not a very good place for disabled people to go into as it is full of stairs and no lifts are available. The nearest car parking is the bull ring parking.
Advantages: Easy to get to, wide variety, competitive pricing, something for all. Disadvantages: I think it could be improved with having rock music playing rather than radio 1! It is fairly easy to get lost in the first few times, however getting lost in a world of PVC, velvet, and dog collars is not an entirely unpleasant experience!
When Skunk Anansie sung "All I want", she must have been thinking of this place. It has everything for alternatives, all under one roof! From rubber, leather and pvc for the fetishists, to velvet and makeup for the goths, to flashing lights and uv clothing for the cyberchicks, to baggy trousers and crop tops for the skaters.
The variety is amazing, and definately the widest I have found on my travels around the country. For general alternative wear ... ...you don't need to worry about pervy shop keepers offering ways to 'reduce the price' (I think you get the idea!).
It is also competitively priced compared with the rest of the country, north and south. You need to look around the entire place first (and it is massive - 5 floors in total, each with several different boutiques) if you are watching the pennies as the prices do vary greatly between boutiques. (And I would recommended doing this anyway ...

Advantages: Wide range of things that nowhere else sells Disadvantages: It's laid out like a maze
...The Oasis centre is a collection of lots of small shops, almost like an indoor market. The shops sell an extremely wide variety of products including clothes that would make an M&S manager blow a fuse. It’s also opposite the Square Peg for a quick drink after shopping. Fantastic! ...

Advantages: Lots of different, rare and unusual clothing, easy to get to Disadvantages: Quite overpriced for some items of clothing, dark, alot of kids
The oasis is situated on corporation street in Birmingham. So is about a 7 minute walk from the train station. You can get in at either of the two entrances on the first floor, or second floor.
They even have in the oasis a cafe, a t shirt printing place and internet cafe. However it seems a popular place for little kids to walk round, they end up making it difficult to get round at times, and alot hotter.
There is alot of cyber/goth/punk places, ... ...with baggy jeans and cool tops, plus nightmare before xmas stuff. Plus some skater style mens clothing shops. They have quite a few shoe shops also. The best shop is at the bottom floor called Beadasaurus...with lots of cool lil bracelets and everything its great! On the bottom floor they also sell lots of posters, band hoodies and band t's.
The most overpriced shops are the girls ones, a goth/punk shop called anna bee and Fallout. Id also suggest ...

Advantages: right in the city centre Disadvantages: none
This place is brillaint for your bondage gear. Leather, studs, werid colours of hair dyes all sorts. Situated smack bang in the middle of birmingham its a favourite haunt for goths and heavy metallers looking for dog collars and other essential kit. It is well laid out with good lighting and space to walk. Its been there for about 20 years which is good. There are all different kinds of shops selling loads of things I suggest you check it out as ...

Advantages: Peacfeful Place In The Heart Of A Bustling City Disadvantages: Closes Quite Early Even During The Summer
Sheffield is the fifth largest city in England in terms of population but it is also one of the greenest cities in the country. I remember reading a few years ago that there were more Parks and Recreational areas within the Urban boundaries of Sheffield per square acre of its total area than other city in England and any visitor to the city will probably vouch for this.
The four largest Parks in the City: Graves Park, Norfolk Park, Hillsborough Park and Endcliffe Park cover an area of over 300 hectares but there are actually 75 different Public Parks within the city, plus hundreds of Public Gardens and Recreational spaces, and many of these are right in the heart of the city centre. One such oasis situated right in the heart of the city is the Sheffield Botanical Gardens which is a place where you can quite literally step off one ...
Advantages: Lots to do, good for all seasons Disadvantages: can end up very expensive
I have been to Oasis near Penrith 4 times now and have had a really enjoyed it each time.
At first you wonder how on earth you will find your way around and more importantly how you will find the way back to your lodge as they all look the same! In no time, however, you find yourself zipping around on one of the hired bikes watching those that have just arrived looking slightly lost.
The lodges are comfortable, and have a log fire for those hot winter evenings or alternatively a bbq for those hot summer evenings. The cooking facilities are what you would expect for a self catering lodge. There are plenty of places to eat out as well as a supermarket on sight, however if you are wanting to cut down on costs then I would recommend taking your own food with you rather than buying it on the on sight supermarket.
You can end up ...
Advantages: Indoors, warm, wide variety of shops Disadvantages: A little dated after over 20 years
for doing the Christmas shopping. The shops themselves are often quite small in the original complex, there are a few large signiture shops such as M&S and House of Fraser but many shops such as Oasis, Warehouse etc are understocked compared to their counterpart in Newcastle town centre. Recently the metro centre has expanded, the new arcade is much lighter and brighter, and boasts trendier shops. ...
