What can i say after the 6 hour jouney to get there, and when we saw that lodge, (security lodge) i thought at last TOILET!!, but No we had to drive another bit to come to the drive thru check in, this seemed to take ages, but anyway hassle free it was. we made our way to the butterfly center which is not how i remember it from 5 years ago, A vast improvment i feel to what it was,
for a couple i would find it ideal and for kids too, but for youngsters i think there is not much hapening there, no late bars excepth the local united services working mans club the "green room" his i feel was a complete let down. when we first arrived we ate at he cafe refresh place, which has taken place of the the burger king, and pizza to go, but unfortunatly they cant sell burgers because of a contract clause with burger king, so we were readily informed by the spotty guy behind the counter and i swear if he picked his nose ince more we were ready to walk out. That restaurany especially seemed to be run by kids. on our first night we went to the rock legends restaraunt, was a nice meal but there was hair found in one of our parties burger, the service was ok. when they remembered we were there, on occasions we were served by kylie she was a manager there very nice girl, manager just seemed to be flirting with the junior members of the team.
the next day we went bowling and the lane was ok but seemed to be having technical difficulties all the time, we were glad we pre-booked the activities, but one thing you will find is that you are stuck to a time schedule, but we soon got used to the routine, and the cycling, well my arse has never felt so fit.... That evening we went to Chez Pierre, wow! the staff were fantastic, and the food was perfect, just what we needed.
As the food was so good at chez pierre was so good we went back for breakfast in the morning as to say we wernt let down with the fantastic english breakfast.
The G/F went off to the Aqua sana and had a cool time really enjoyed herself and my bank card. but what a excellent weekend, and i will be back soon, even if it is for just one of those English brekkies
