This is a honest review from a travel agent. I have just returned from a 14 night stay at the Venecia Park Hotel in Salou. I will write this in as much detail as I possibly can and hope this will be very helpful to anyone thinking of going to this hotel.
Flight from the uk was very convenient as only took 2 hours 15 mins.
On arrival at Reus Airport we decided to get a taxi from outside the main terminal building which was very quick and easy to do and only cost 30 euros. The taxis were waiting and it took approx 15 minutes to get to hotel. Much quicker than on the transfer buses.
RECEPTION.
Upon arrival we were checked in very quickly by a friendly, cheerful, helpful member of staff. We had to sign one form, have photograph taken for our all inclusive card and that was it off to the room we went.

Location
Parc Oasis Zoo and Botanical Park is located right in the centre of Port El Kantoui about a 2 minute walk away from the main shopping square and the Marina. I have to admit that this attraction isn't too well signposted and we actually stumbled across it by accident as we were taking a walk around the town.
Cost
Entrance to this attraction was actually very cheap, only 5 dinars per adult which is about £2. Admission for children was only 2.5 dinars so I thought this attraction offered great value for money.

Having just returned from an early season (early May 2009) week at the Donaire park, La Pineda with our 3 year old I would definately recommend this hotel for families with younger kids but it would also be a great base for anyone who wants to visit the areas around Salou and Barcelona. there were organised trips to go on and a regular bus service or coach and rail services available.
The weather was a bit cloudy but mostly sunny but this didn't stop us enjoying our time there.
Our little girl loved the kids tots club sessions and daily evening mini disco's started at 8:30pm (the entertainment staff were great and kept all the kids entertained with their dance moves and sing-along routines). The entertainment for the adults would start about 10pm and had something for most people to enjoy over the week.
