    I don't know about the skiing, but the location is fantastic with high mountains all around and a choice of many runs. We went in the summer for the walking and the scenery is stunning. There are lifts up to the Hohe Mutt and plenty of facilities in the town. The road in is good, but a long drive. The valley is steep in places. The Eidelweiss and Gurgl is a wonderfull hotel with a pool and jacuzzi overlooking the mountains. The food is excellent but the wine is expensive.     Obergurgl is a resort in the Tirolean Alps of Austria. In winter is quite a picturesque town. The skiing is enjoyable for beginners and also intermediates, there is not very much for advanced skiiers in Obergurgl. There is a new four man gondola which links Obergurgl with Hochgurgl, this is a much welcomed alternative to the free ski bus. The apres-ski seems to start in a mountain restaurant just above Obergurgl called the Nederhutte, this is always very lively and has live austrian music, the problem is you have to ski down to the village!
