We managed to arrange this trip on one of our excursions to GrandBaie, one of the tourist areas in Mauritius. Several businessmen have licences to book these trips for tourists, and tend to come up to you on the beach to tell you about the excursions and activities that they offer. Our trip was arranged through the same man who booked our Underwater Walk trip (which I have also reviewed on this site!) so we knew he was reliable.
We were told that we had to book it a few days in advance, so that they could make sure the Catamaran was full to capacity for the trip. I think we booked it on a Wednesday and went on the trip the following Tuesday. We were told that the price for the day trip was going to be 1200 rupees. This is equivalent to about £20 which is quite good value considering what happened on the trip! He informed us the boat ...
of the facilities on board OV2. And I don't make that comparison lightly, if you were to exclude the fact that OV2 has the karma spa and 2 swimming pools you could be mistaken for believing you were on the Dover-Calais.
The common facilities on board are a mixed bag. The Karma spa was very good, the Gym is free to use and we took a day pass to the facilities downstairs which were quite relaxing to use. The Gym seemed rather under-used and all of the equipment was brand new and good quality.

There is no grand lobby on board this ship, just a rather depressing atrium-style area featuring a few tacky shops, the nightly art auction, and special offer events. At times it felt like ...
Advantages: Everything on board this cruise liner Disadvantages: Nothing what so ever, unless you are a very fussy person.
Just returned from the Villa`s and vino`s cruise with Ocean Village 2 and was very very impressed.
First of all I must say after reading certain negative reviews, some people MUST be hard to please. They have criticised the food, which both my wife and I thought was wonderful, plentiful and a choice to please all, except a certain few who must be the most hard to please of people. In fact, some have criticised most the ship had to offer. If it`s fantastic food with a great choice, great trips on offer and great friendly service, don't book an Ocean village tour, go to your Benidorms instead. Some folk just moan for moanings sake.
This cruise was our first, it was our pearl wedding anniversary and we did not want any formal evenings with the Captain etc, we just wanted to wear casual all through the week, and that's what Ocean Village ...
