This review is on Le Cervin Apartments in Plagne Soleil at 2050M in the resort of La Plagne French Alpes.
I am also going to review the whole area of La Plagne in a different review as I think it will be to long to put both together. In the other review I will price items and talk about areas other than Plagne Soleil.

Well where to start, oh yes. I must say it was not our accommodation of choice so forgive me for the negatives but we were supposed to have a fully catered for chalet in Plagne Centre.

Le Cervin as I have already mentioned is in the resort of La Plagne in France which is made up of 7 varying sized areas.

The Cervin is partly private and partly public available block, when I say this I mean that some are run by Odlays and others are privately owned all in the same block. There are about 100 rooms in the block. The north facing ones over look Plagne Soleil square and look onto granges which is a similar building opposite.

The Cervin is approximately 1.5 hours from Chambrey airport up a long winding hill.
The accommodation is made up of mainly rooms to sleep up to 4 or 5 but there is one penthouse suite which sleeps 6. We booked using Crystal Ski holidays and if you use them this is the sort of room you will get, Obviously privately owned apartments may be differently equipped
In our room 402 which was about 21m2 slept 5 you get a twin private bedroom a sofa bed and pullout bed from below that and a bunk bed. There were only 2 of us and with or cases and clothes we filled the room up so how 5 people are expected to live there for a week is beyond me.
The beds were basic but comfortable and you get a set of sheets 1 pillow and 1 blanket per person.
There is a bathroom with small bath with mixer tap and shower and sink off the kitchen, the toilet is on the left as you came through the main door to the apartment.
The kitchen is in the middle of the bathroom and the private twin bedroom. The kitchen was again like the accommodation, basic but adequate for our needs. It has a filter coffee machine but no kettle. Crockery and cutlery to last 5 people 1 days worth of meals, pots, pans, frying pan, grater can and bottle opener, a fridge with small freezer compartment, dishwasher(so take dishwashers tablets as they cost 10 euro for 40) small sink 4 ring electric hob and over the top of the hob was a shelf with an electric grill/oven which only heated up to 120 degrees c.
WARNING BE CAREFUL OF THE HOT WATER AS IT COMES OUT BOILING FROM THE HOT TAP!!!
There is a small portable TV in the room which you have to pay 40 euros to get the remote and key to operate it, we were not there to watch TV so did not bother with the expense.
There is a small balcony over looking the square if you are on that side or south aspect you over look the piste and then across to Plagne Villages
As I have mentioned Le Cervin over looks Plagne Soleil Square, it is a real ski to and from the door apartment and you are straight on to a blue run down to Plagne Center or you can pick up the drag lift on the opposite side of the slope to the apartment block to hit other runs
They take a 300 euro deposit on arrival use a credit card as they do not charge it and if they do you can dispute it with the credit card company
You are expected to clean your own apartment and make your own bed on arrival.
Plagne Soleil is a small location and has about 4 apartment blocks, 2 restaurants, Ski/Board hire shop, Ski/Board sales shop, lift pass shop, Spar a takeaway pizza place opens evenings and a daytime takeaway snack bar serving baguettes etc.
I would recommend to others if you want a no frills cheap holiday. We paid 329 per person as there we only 2 of us we ended up paying supplements, Flights were from Exeter but a guide is £200 per person inc flights.

NOT REALLY ABOUT THE ACCOMMODATION AND MORE ABOUT CRYSTAL SKI HOLIDAYS.
Our flight landed at Chambrey about 18.30 and by the time we had got bags and on the coach the slow transfer meant we arrived about 22.00. reception was closed so we could not get our key to lock the room so we could not go out for dinner. Luckily well we thought lucky, we brought a grocery pack of the Crystal Rep on the coach and it should have been delivered to our room before we arrived but it did not arrive until 22.30 anyway my advise is for you 15 euros you get 1ltr UHT milk, 1 ltr OJ, sliced bread, 4 slices of packet ham, 8 slices of packet cheese, 250gm block of butter, about 15 tea bags a small amount of coffee and sugar and don't expect the coffee to be in a jar it was in a plastic bag. It was poor. Oh and to top it all off the ham and bread were out of date. We arrived 21st March the bread was dated 13th March and the ham dated 16th March. My advise is save your money and get a few basic essentials to get you through the first night as the spar closes at 20.00
