Hi, I'm Paula also know as P to my friends. Just had a really fun day playing in the snow with my boys and work colleagues. Who'd have though that a bunch of 30 somethings could behave like kids just beacuse of a little snow!

As the mother of two little boys who love being outdoors I find myself spending my time trying to think of things to do and places to go during the school holidays and at weekends. I discovered Odds Farm Park last year sitting on my doorstep and I've never looked back. It has a great mix of fun things to do, play areas to explore and it's also educational.
OPENING TIMES Odds Farm Park is open at 10am all year round (apart from two weeks at Christmas) although the times vary depending on the season. From February 11th to July 21st they close at 5.30pm, 22nd July to 10th September they close at 6pm, 11th September to October 29th the park closes at 5.30pm and from 30th October to the 10th February closing time is at 4.30pm. Last entrance to the park is one hour before closing time.
ADMISSION The admission prices are £6.50 for adults, £5.50 for children and OAPs, Special Needs £3.50 and Under 2 years go free. There are discounts available for prebooked groups of 15+ people. There is also the option of purchasing a season ticket which costs £40 for an adult, £35 for a spouse, £32.50 for children and OAPs and Special Needs or Carer costs £22.50. I'm seriously considering a season ticket as in the past 3 months we have visited the park three times. You can also buy bags of food to feed the animals with, during the off peak season there is no limit to bags of food you can have, but once the peak season begins the bags of food are limited to one per family.
LOCATION Odds Farm Park is based in High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire and is easily accessible from the M40 and M4. Their website www.oddsfarmpark.co.uk, has directions available under the contact page.
DAILY ACTIVITIES They have a variety of daily activities depending on the season that take place every hour. So young and old alike can be entertained by sheep shearing, lamb bottle feeding, cow milking, farm show, birthing, tractor and trailer rides, piggy's teatime, rabbit world and sheep racing!
SPECIAL EVENTS Throughout the year they have special events from puppet shows to a visit from Santa, my boys enjoyed the Easter egg hunt that took place during April. I'm quite tempted to take them to the Pumpkin Carving event this year.
FACILITIES There's ample free parking for cars and coaches, a well stocked gift shop that even has suncream (my husband forgot to put some on before we left the house and got a shock at the £8.99 price tag - you can tell he doesn't buy the suncream normally!) They have load of toilets with baby changing areas and disabled facilities so there's never any queues. The coffee shop sells a wide selection of sandwiches, rolls and baguettes which are all reasonably priced. We tend to take a picnic as there are plenty of picnic areas available both indoors and out. There are two huge play area that caters for children from 6 months upwards. My sons particularly like the two huge sandpits that come equipped with diggers! They have a crazy golf area and a straw bale castle which the children love climbing over. The park is also littered with hand wash areas for after you have fed the animals.
ANIMALS There is a wide variety of animals from cows, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and many more. You have a chance to feed these animals and stroke them. It's a great way for the children to learn about the animals and have a chance to touch them. A few weeks ago my youngest was feeding the goats and suddenly disappeared from view as he was surrounded by them, a little girl was scared they would eat him. He on the other hand thought it was great and when Daddy eventually bent down to rescue him he came out with a grin on his face shouting "Again, Again!"
VERDICT A great day out for all the family, with plenty of things to do for everyone, at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend this Park to anyone who finds themselves in the general vicinity of Buckinghamshire.

I picked up a leaflet for Odds when we were staying in a hotel in Maidenhead and I begged my boyfriend to take me. Now I have your review as ammo! Thank you :) Nikki
