Odeon Cinema Huddersfield

Advantages: clean, reasonable prices, easy to find and park
Disadvantages: bar needs updating, stupid premier seats

...review on the fact that odeon should have updated the cinema. it's a great cinema except for the bar, which is awful. it looks scruffy and dirty and hasn't had anything done since this opened as a UCI. The rest of it is good though. There is a lot of parking (but always full) and pizza hut and the ropewalk are right next door - great food at the ropewalk! there is always a good choice of films as you'd expect, but dont go to the preview showings ... after the UCI cinema got taken over by Odeon, it should've had a makeover but they left it the same. the only problem with this is that the bar upstairs looks really tatty and worn. other than that the cinema is great. it has reasonable prices, a good variety of films and they sometimes show old films too. the actual cinema and reception area look as good as they did when it first opened, and its easy to get around etc. it has pizza hut on one side, ...
...really nice food. the food in the cinema is expensive as always, but you can always sneak food in! they have also introduced premier seats, which you have to pay a pound extra for. we thought they must be something special, or have speakers in the seats or something, very disappointed when we realised they were just a bit bigger, so i wouldn't bother with them. ...
