Odysseus Hotel, Corfu

...and I stayed in the Odysseus Hotel Paleokastritsa last May. We had a lovely time and the hotel was clean and comfortable. It is in the most beautiful position, overlooking one of the many bays in Paleokastritsa. The view from our balcony was so beautiful it took your breath away every morning. We were lucky, as although we didn't have a "sea view room" we had a room with a view of the sea and across the bay. I would definitely recommend ...
...are you guaranteed a fantastic view you will probably get a much larger balcony. Ours was big enough for a table and two chairs.
We stayed half board, and we thought the food was good. The breakfast was basic although the yoghurt was lovely. At night the salad selection was really very good and the main course was usually a local corfiot dish. If you are looking for fine dining this is not the place for you!

I would definitely recommend you pay for a sea view room, as not only are you guaranteed a fantastic view you will probably get a much larger balcony. Ours was big enough for a table and two chairs.

The pool was lovely , not large but spotlessly clean, like every thing else in the hotel. The grounds of the hotel although small were very pretty. there were white roses and hollyhocks in bloom and lemons on the tree.
There is a shop underneath the hotel where you can buy anything you have forgotten to bring with you, + wine, anti-mosquito candles, etc,etc.
The walk up the hill to the monastery is well worth it for the views alone, there is a small taverna at the top as well. The monastery is shut between 1pm-3pm, also try to avoid it when one of the numerous coach trips are there.
The bus stop for Corfu town is just outside the hotel, again well worth a trip. There are also a couple of tavernas just across the road from the hotel.
