Advantages: Healthy way to cook Disadvantages: could be better designed for cleaning
The George Foreman Health Grill
This is my second George foreman I have owned the first one lasted for years and I replaced it with this model a year ago.
The George foreman is a great invention.
It takes about three minutes to heat up before placing your items under to cook.
Appearance
This grill is silver so fitting in with most modern kitchens. It does have George Foreman's signature plastered across the front and the lean, mean grilling machine logo. It has double sided grills that are angles downwards so that the fat runs out.
It does come with a spatula specially designed to help you lift the item off the grill without scratching.
The cord is relatively long for an electrical appliance and winds round the bottom for easy storage.
What can you cook?
Just about anything that you can ...
Advantages: Great food, very nice waitresses, quiet Disadvantages: pricing structure, loud music
The Medina or "Med" as is plastered on the outside in neon lights is a quaint Morrocan restaurant on the Prince Of Wales Road in Norwich.
Every six or so months we have an 'old skool' night in which we try to get good food, good conversation (if you can call good conversation talking about partners, mortgages, work and life - a far cry from our college days - but I suppose we all have to grow up at some point!!) and a few drinks.
We try and go somewhere different each time. Last Friday was my turn to organise the meal. I walk past the "Med" every day and I have always been intrigued. I love a good steak so I thought a grill restaurant would probably be a good option.
When trying to book the restaurant I thought I would use the net to get the number. Confusion - I could not find the "Med" any where. I walked past it everyday yet ...
Advantages: Great tasting food! Disadvantages: Bit pricey
selection of beers and soft drinks. All soft drinks are refillable for free, which really helps wash down a large meal.
Price and Consistency
---------------------------
Like I said, we have been going here for the last few years since it opened, maybe once or twice a month, sometimes more. The menu has changed twice to make additions, but has never removed anything as far as I can tell, which is nice to know your good old favourites will still be available. There are also certain promotions including certain dishes on certain days being cheaper, or choosing 2 courses from a list for only £6.99.
Pricewise, it is slightly on the dearer side. Most starters are about £5-£8, the mains vary depending on your choice but I feel are worth the money. For me and my boyfriend to have a 2 course meal each and soft drink usually costs about £45 ...
