We found this to be an excellent location for visiting York as it's just 20 minutes away, but in the countryside. We stayed here some years ago but since then it's been refurbished to a far higher standard than we expected with tastefully decorated en-suite bedrooms with very comfy beds. With a great breakfast in the morning , this was like home from home where nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Hospitality was second to none and with a really friendly atmosphere.
