...TelAviv is a self-consciously trendy city with a very European flavour. It combines a long, clean, beautiful sandy beach with fabulous shopping and a buzzing nightlife. Hit the Jaffa end of the beach on a Friday evening for massive impromptu jam sessions and martial arts displays with the Tel Avivian in-crowd, then head off downtown to Jabotinski & Arlozorov street for the hottest clubs in the country (Saturday is the big night, after Shabbat). The Dizengoff area is the place for shopping and eating, with its massive mall, cinema, and eclectic collection of restaurants as well as kosher McDonalds, KFC, Subway etc.
When you’ve had enough of the monotonous architecture of TelAviv (hardly the prettiest town in the country), head to the south of the city to OldJaffa (Yafo) which has the best fish restaurants in a sympathetic Mediterranean...

500m everyday during 2 weeks to go home, in order to

For a majority of Israelis who do not know that it is correct to
collect its waste abandoned on the beach after a picnic . For the
drivers who have the horn well too easy...

...Testament was Jafet, one of Noah sons, the founder of Jaffa that began the establishment of the city just after the Deluge. And furthermore Jaffa or, better, Joppa is mentioned many times in the Old Testament linked to Prophets narrations.
The Prophet Jonah sailed from Jaffa for his trip during which he was swallowed by a whale; and Peter, the Prince of the Apostles, made hid very first miracle in this city.
Jaffa, during the centuries, has been built, destroyed and then built again, and this several times.
It has been subdued by Egyptians, Romans, Alexander the Great, Richard Lion-heart, the Saladin, Napoleon. And then was part of the British Empire. In 1958 became part of Israel.
Today, practically, it is a suburb of TelAviv even it is a municipality called TelAviv-Yafo.
65% of its inhabitants is of Arabic origin with Israeli citizenship...

I saw part of the series of this on TV and when I realised there was a DVD of it I had to buy it!
I'm female and some things I found could be taken in an offensive manner but to be honest I watched it with an open mind and even found myself laughing... more
I have had this CD since it was released, and it still plays a prominent part of my music collection.
