the hope of seeing some diving. The practice of diving from the Stari Most is as old as the bridge itself. It is a more dangerous activity than one might think; the water is very cold, even on hot day (I can vouch for that after a paddle) and there are hidden rocks so you really must be familiar with the site. These days you must be a member of the Mostar Diving Club to jump from the bridge and young men spend years training to be allowed to participate. An annual competition exists, but in summer you may see diving on any day. The trouble is that there are no set times so you may or may not be lucky.

The hotel is located at the Southern tip of Lake Windermere and overlooks the River Leven. It is in an absolutely beautiful setting, is accessed via a small bridge and is set right back from the main road.
I think in total it has 55 bedrooms, some of which are suites - but we opted for a standard double during our stay.
We were in room 313 and this had a river view - as do all the odd numbered rooms i think. The room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfy (although very soft). We stayed at the HôtelRestaurant La Flambée in Bergerac in November 2008 for two nights and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. What follows is an honest account as possible about the hotel as I can provide. Hopefully this may help if you are planning to visit this part of the world.
We flew to Bordeaux but the most convenient airport for the hotel is actually in Bergerac as the hotel lies about 2 miles outside the town. Incase you are not familiar with this part of the world these places are in the main wine growing areas, and are in South West France. Flying time from the UK is about an hour and a half if you are flying from the London areas. Easyjet will take you to Bordeaux from Luton, likewise British Airways will fly you from Gatwick, and Ryanair will fly you from Stansted to Bergerac.
