visitors to London. the hotel's position affords excellent communications to visit the cultural and historical attractions of the West End and easy access to Heathrow Airport.
West End attractions, this family run hotel offers a good standard of accommodation and a very friendly and homely atmosphere in the heart of London. All the bedrooms have recently been refurbished with satellite television, telephone and radio as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
...is not easy, especailly with the buzzing traffic of central London. On the journey up to the hotel, we used satelitte navigation which was very easy. We punched in the postcode on the naviagtion and we did not need to worry about getting lost. The navigation took us the New Brdge Street, which is the street the hotel is is. We were all looking out for the hotel in the car, and we spotted the words "Crowne Plaza" on one of the stone walls of the hotel. The hotel was in the middle of a busy street, and we had to take our bags out of the car and be quick getting out, as it was a busy road.
From the entrance of the Crowne Plazahotel, you can see the London Eye, one of London's famous landmarks, if you know how to get to the London Eye, then you woul know how to get to the hotel in New Bridge Street, even if you do not have navigational help...

To me, this still seems like quite a lot of money, but a quick search on google showed that staying in the nearest Holiday Inn (incidentally, part of the same chain as Crowne Plaza and usually much more budget-friendly) for the same weekend would have actually cost more! More to the point, the normal room rate for a standard room at the Crowne...

...for the night in the Ramada Plazahotel at Gatwick. This meant that we were getting to stay the night in London for nothing as we arranged to get a refund from the travel agents for our original hotel meaning the flight being moved worked in our favour this time.
*****LOCATION*****
The Ramada Plazahotel, Gatwick is located four miles away from Gatwick airport. When we arrived at the airport we were at the North terminal at which point we took the free train service to the South terminal to take advantage of Virgin's twilight check-in services and get rid of our suitcases. At this point with just our hand luggage to haul about we made our way outside the South terminal building and used one of the phones provided to phone the Ramada Plazahotel. The hotel then sent a minibus to collect us from the airport which took about quarter...
