It can hardly have escaped your attention that the Olympic Games has been held in China and "Team GB" did quite well all things considered. So sales of this game must be up. This time Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog has joined in with Nintendo's Mario this time. The reason for this pairing up is purely commercial.
You can control a myriad of characters from the Mario and Sonic games, or you can play as your Mii character, I always do. Each character has different characteristics and handle events subtly differently. The events are split into the relevant categories of Track, Field, Gymnastics etc... There are nine categories in total.
Some events however are total turkeys such as rowing, where you have to maintain a rowing like motion with the two controls while pressing two ...

Sonic and Mario come together for the first time, sure to satisfy all Gaming fans out there. This game is based on all the usual olympic events, there are 20 events over eight sports, use of the remote and nunchuck is required for some events. This game is one that can be played as a whole family and gets the competitive spirit going, the childrens favourite are the simmimg events as these require alot of effort and energy to complete and although tiring at times is great fun and a good way to stay active. All the favourite characters from Sonic and Mario compete, there are eight characters from each side to selct from. There are also dream events that can be found and unlocked for extra playing experience. ...

This game is a must have for any Sonic and Mario fans.
Let the games begin was the slogan and that is definitely true. I have competed against most of my friends and family and they all agree that this game has not only great graphics but also amazing gameplay.
This is one of the best sports games I have played on the wii. You get to compete in all the Olympic games right from running to the triple jump and there are more unlock able games for you to discover if you are on a winning streak.
You can even play with a mii if you don't want to compete as one of either 8 Sonic or Mario character.
