One Happy Cloud

Advantages: Brill for watching many species of humming birds&other birds.Nice&rural,lots of trails.
Disadvantages: You are very likely to get very wet. Not much to see except Hummingbirds

...On our recent trip to Ecuador, South America we had a 2 day 1 night stay at the Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve is less than 2 hours away from Quito but still deep in the forest. Our reason for visiting Bellavista was to see the many species of hummingbirds at the feeders. There are also many trails to walk. We arrived around midday after travelling from Quito. It was raining quite hard but we didn’t notice this when we saw all the hummingbirds at the syrup filled feeders around the main area of the lodge. There were also vivid blue Jays. We went to “The Dome” which is a wooden building with 360 degree views from which you can see the rugged peaks of Pichincha and Catacachi in the distance. ...steak was EXACTLY as I ordered. It melted in my mouth and tasted delicious beyond words. I accidentally dropped my fork on the floor. One man dodged to pick it up and another delivered a replacement. They eased my embarrassment with jokes. I was asked, exactly the right amount of times at exactly the right moments, if everything was all right and if I'd like anything else. I ordered dessert. Within minutes, a Baked Alaska was set aflame at my table. Engulfed in its glow and candlelight I thought---at this particular moment in my life everything is right. For me, that feeling is part of the lure of The Tavern. As I floated out of The Tavern, the staff took the time to thank me. ...Whisky A Go Go is located directly opposite the pier on the North Parade in Skegness. During the daytime it is the sort of quiet place that one might wander into for a coffee or a quick alcoholic drink but be warned at night time this place takes on a whole new persona and it is not a place for the faint-hearted. I first discovered Whisky A Go Go late one Sunday afternoon when the black storm clouds that had been threatening a downpour all day finally burst. It was a rainstorm of enormous proportions and dressed only in Jeans and a T-Shirt I dashed for the nearest bit of cover, which just happened to a pub! My first impression related to the size of the place.
