Most weekends there is a DJ who plays music to suit all tastes - pop, rock, cheesy, Irish, Scottish - and by half way through the night everyone is up dancing. Occassionally they have a live band, although this tends to be more through the week than at weekends.

This pub sells food throughout the day and while I have not sampled everything on the menu I have had their toasties and baked potatoes and have no complaints. The menu is nothing spectacular but the food is nice and is very reasonably priced.

O'Neills is a good size pub, much bigger than it initially looks on the outside. When you first walk in the door, the toilets are straight ahead of you, to your left is a small area with comfy couches and tables, and to your right is the main bulk of the pub. Right over at the far end is a small dancefloor. For the size of the pub the dancefloor could do with being a bit bigger as when there is a lot of folk up it can get very crushed.
There are plenty of seats and you can be guaranteed to get one if you are in before about 9.30pm. After that it starts to get very busy. A barmaid spends the evening going round the tables and taking drink orders to try to stop congestion at the bar, but they could probably be doing with a couple more people to do this. If you go to the bar when the pub is busy you can often be waiting up to half and hour to get served as it is so crowded.
The toilets are more than acceptable. Obviously I havent seen the gents, but a male friend of mine told me they are very clean and there is plenty of urinals and cubicles. The ladies has 7 cubicles and unlike in some pubs there is always a good supply of loo roll, even at the end of the night. There is good lighting in it for fixing your make up and full length mirrors.
This pub shuts at 1 am on a Saturday night, but straight across the road is a nightclub where most people go to after it.
O'Neills has a good mix of clientele with people from all age groups, so nobody will ever feel too old or too young! On the whole it is a really good crowd that go in there, and you tend to see the same faces and get to know people. The majority are very friendly, and if anyone does decide to cause trouble there are security men on the door and also walking round the pub and are there in an instant.
On the whole if you are looking for a friendly, fun night out, this is the place in Paisley to be!
