I want to speak to you about the Hotel Opera Cadet, located in Paris, next to the subway stop of Cadet. I was there in July near 4 days in this hotel and did not have problems ever.
First, it is good placed, so like already I've said, it has nearby both the subway and the buses.
I speak about a reformed hotel (though not too recently). It has 6 floors, 2 elevators and enclosedly private parkings. It has also rooms of meetings, lounge of breakfast and bar, to report of all kinds of rooms: - 3 Suites - 2 Superiors - 3 Rooms for handicapped persons - 45 Doubles - 11 Triple ones (double beds with the supplementary one) - 16 Triple ones of three beds - 5 quadruple ones
In all the rooms we can find air conditioning (not all the hotels in Paris have air conditioning), soundproofing, decoration and modern furniture (this puts it in the page) Complete bathroom, dryer of hair, direct telephone, plug for fax, satellite television with radio and alarm clock. To mention that the voltage is of 220. Also has strong box and mini-bar, that certainly, compared with other hotels, the mini-bar is economic enough.
The room was not very big, but very small either. The bed was very comfortable and we had cupboards and booths where to keep our clothes and suitcases, together with the indispensable supplementary tables with its respective lamps.
With regard to the breakfast, it is included in the price, at least in the page of the hotel, though I recommend to take refuge in offers of this one or other hotels by means of portals that offer special prices. The breakfast is spectacular and the lounge even more, then to report of the interior lounge, they have one foreign with plants and reservoir, which is really beautiful. The breakfast was free buffet, being able to choose to the taste anything, the unique thing the waitresses for that it was necessary to ask was the coffee, milk and everything what is served warms, though also there was in the buffet cold milk, juice, water, cereals, pastry cook's shop of all kinds, butter, and jam of different flavors. For me, the best part of the day was during the breakfast.
In what concerns food, Paris is expensive, ultimately, always we were eating in mc donalds, in a Chinese restaurant or in a Japanese restaurant that existed behind the hotel economic enough. And it is that, in this street, going towards the interior, there is an avenue where there are many shops and restaurants. In one of the positions of this street they do a few very good crepes. So, in this hotel, we had everything to hand.
Around it one finds the Opera, Montmarte and, not very far, the zone of Republique and, since the communication at this zone was very good, there was no poblem to move to the Eiffel Tower or to other tourist zones of the city, as La bastille or the Champs Elysees .
Definitively, it is a good hotel in relation quality - price and situation, since there the hotels are in the habit of being expensive. A double room cost us near 90 € in night.
The website of the hotel is http://www.hotel-opera-cadet.fr/us/index.htm, where you'll can see some pics of the façade, rooms, etc.
To me is very difficult to express in english, but I hope you'll understand me. Thanks ;)
