...All the hotels in the Lake Buena Vista area are within easy reach of both Downtown disney and a strip of other shops and resturants. We found it nice to be able to go to the parks and then go back to the hotel and just walk to dinner without having to worry about driving or getting the bus. We have been visiting Orlando, Florida for many years now but have only recently discovered the Disney Pop Century resort. Located about 25 minutes from Orlando Airport, the first thing we noticed about the resort was the colourful entrance. There is a security guard at the gate and it is manned for 24 hours so immediately, we felt safe. Some rooms overlook the lake which you should bear in mind if you want a quieter stay because the pool areas are open until 12.00 midnight and can get noisy. Disney's Old Key West resort - well what can I say. I have just come back from this resort and can honestly say that it is soooooo beautiful. It is themed on the Florida Keys and boasts a very laid back and relaxed atmosphere throughout the resort. Every member of staff will go out of their way to ensure that your vacation goes as smooth as possible from start to finish. Combine this with the beautiful landscaping and every villa has a fantastic view. Having stayed at another Universal onsite hotel we were eager to see how it compared to the more expensive Portofino Bay that we had previously visited. The Radisson in Celebration is the hotel i stayed in last year for a 2 week trip to DisneyWorld. Its location is great as it's a stone throw away from DisneyWorld and has a lot to offer in the small town of celebration from restaurants to retail outlets.
