I have been to florida orlando eight times, i have also been to treasure island (a small island off florida) once and all. Ive been to many places round the world but this tops them all. The first thing that attracted me to florida was the parks and ill give you my best tips and review of each park now.
Located on international drive this animal/attraction park is wonderful for both animal lovers and rollercoaster junkies. It has two great main rides, the Kraken a rollercoaster which will blow you away and journey to atlantis a wonderful water log flume and rollercoaster. But the shows steel the show for me in this park. The shamu show is simply stunning. The tricks that the whales do are breathtaking and the lgiht hearted humour that is included in the show make for a delighful 30 minutes of viewing.
>If you do not want to get soaked do not sit at the fonrt section seats at the Shamu show. > sit at the back of the Kraken its faster as the front of the coaster pulls you around. > sit at the front of the journey to alantis boats the water hits the back of the boat _________________
The uinversal area of orlando as two parks one where the movies are brought to life via rides and the other park really is an adventure where the cartoon and comic side of universal are bought to life via amazing breathtaking rides. Do not let the que time hinder your decision about going on a ride go on them all. i liked universal islands of adventure most. Why? because it was themed so well. The surroudings of the park where fun eye catching and pleasent to view.
My top tips for universal: > ride the hulk it will blow you away, jsut dont expect to go up as your normal rollercoaster gets you to the top. > take a mac the water rides get you soaked and there is plenty of wet attractions in both park ___________________
<Wet n wild> The water park also loacted on international drive is fun and as activites for everyone from amazing slides to water sking. The park has rapids, huge waves in the main swimming pool and slides that everyone will enjoy. The main thing that caught my eye was the water sking altough i didnt go on therefore i do not no whether additional dollars were needed to ride it.
My top tips: > get there early, get a bed and bring sunscreen it gets really hot out there. _________________
Thats it for my theme park section now for the shopping expeirence of orlando. The main mall is the florida mall which is also located on international drive. It is a huge mall and has everything. Designer cloths shops, gadgets shops, home furnishing shops and a huge food court. ___________________
Places to go and visit.
I would recomend international drive and the 192 as good places to visit. They are both huge stretchs of road with lots of activites around. The 192 boasts Old town which is like a mini "town" with little shops and small attractions that are very entertaining and fun. Along both these roads is plenty of eating reasurants and MCdonalds and burger kings. I recommend to eat out at ponderosa a very good place to eat cheap and has a all you eat buffet. _________________
Overall tips for visitng florida: > pick up a coupon booklet you will see them everywhere inside there is money of mini colf and eating out. >Visit old town it boasts a huge sky coaster which i have been on and it was amazing.
