This is undoubtedly the place where dreams come true. There are so many things to do. The first time I went to orlandoFlorida was when I was 11 years old and it was like paradise. Me and my family went there for my sisters wedding which was an amazing day but will get to that later. The first time we went for 2 weeks and did not do everything we wanted to do and we had to go again for another 2 weeks but we still did not manage to do everything we wanted to do. So it looks like somewhere in the future we will be going again and it is really worth the money.
We stayed at a place called Ramada hotel and this was a very nice place. This was in a place called International Drive. I don't know weather you have heard of this place but it is one of the main places for tourists to stay in Orlando. Well when we entered the hotel the lounge area was ignoramus and looked very posh. The people at the front desk were very friendly and were happy to show us to where we would be staying for the next to weeks. As we was walking to our hotel room we noticed there were to swimming pools. One inside and one outside. The outside one was packed and the inside one had no one in at all. So everyone was soaking in all the sun and trying to get a tan. When we got to our room it was very nice. Two double beds, nice big tv (not like we watched it much though we was always out) good sized bathroom and small kitchen. But this was a cosy little place and
it was very nice. The room did not have much use except for sleep as this is basically all we done in there. When we got there we unpacked our stuff and settled in to our mini home for two weeks. Once we had unpacked we had a good look round at all the facilities in the hotel. Swimming pools (which were very clean), shop equipped with all essentials needed, bar and restaurant. It was a very nice place to be staying and we had no troubles there during our whole stay and would recommend this hotel.
Theme parks
As you will most probably know orlando is a place of magic. And the theme parks make it magic as they are totally and amazing and make our theme parks in England look like a children's park with swings.
Magic Kingdom This is the place where little kids dreams come true as they get to meet mickey mouse. When you walk through the gates there are so many different little shops from crystal shops to magnificent candy shops the choice is amazing and this takes up a good hour or 2 looking through the shops. But when you get past all the shops, you will see the magic kingdom itself and it looks beautiful it really does look amazing. Also as you are walking around the park there are different shows that actually happen in the street and you have to stop and watch as they are magical and put a smile on your face. All the disney film songs are in these parade/shows and you will want to join in the singing. Also the charaters in costumes of course will come up to your children and ask if they want to join them in dancing or the activity they are doing and this really does put a sparkle in a childs eyes. This park is a park mainly aimed at children but roller coasters are aimed at the adults and they are wicked. The animations and characters in the rides make it magical and I have never actually seen my dad so happy as he was on these rides. Especially when he thinks the roller coasters in England are crap ( which they are compared to America). The childrens part of the park is full of mini rides and singin and cartoons and just everything a childs dream would be. It really is a must to visit this place and the younger the child the more it will be magical for them.
Moving onto Animal Kingdom
Another of walt disneys amazing theme parks. If you are a animal lover you will adore this park. It has all different kinds of adventures for you. It must have nearly every animal in the world in the park which makes the park what it is not including the rides, amusements, shows and parades and not forgetting all of the disney characters again. These theme parks are so big you do really need 2 days to go round them properly and do everything but this would be very expensive. The safari ride in this theme park is amazing spot all the different wild animal : lions, birds, zebra, giraffe, hippo and much much more. They make this ride exciting by saying there are poachers in the park and you speed off in the safari truck to find them. This is not real but it is fun and they wavy paths make the ride bumpy and enjoyable. When you find the poachers they have been caught by someone else and it all looks very realistic. The people in the parks are very friendly and love to talk to you (they never stop). This park is a animal lovers dream and I recommended it is also very fun for the kids. They will love it just like I did!!
Universal studios This is a park aimed more at adults as the park is full of roller coasters and they are massive roller coaster e.g. the incredible hulk. The incredible hulk is an amazing ride and goes very very quick and seems to be over in no time but the enjoyment you get out of it is worth it. There are many other roller coasters in this park and they are all very good. Also the thing I found the most fun was the men in black alien ride. You sit in a circular kind of cart with about 8 other people and you have a gun each. You have to shoot all the aliens and whoever gets the most points wins and I did actually get the most points and I was the youngest in the cart. It is a good ride with good effects. The other ride that stands out in this park was the spiderman ride. This was spectacular you sit in another cart thingy with some other people and you have to wear 3d glasses and all spider mans enemies jump on the cart and the cart shakes and it is all in 3d which makes it look real. Also bricks and stuff fly at you and you shut your eyes as they look real as they are coming right at you. This park is another great park and I really enjoyed it but I don't think children of a young age would enjoy this as much as adults and teenagers.
I will write about one more park as I don't want to spoil any surprises if you decide to go to orlando Florida. So here goes the golf ball park, well it looks like a golf ball but its not. It is actually the Epcot centre and is another fantastic addition to the parks. This park is a cultural park and it has a shop from every different country showing there style of living. These shops are very interesting and is very informative about the way other countries live. They even have a British shop but I cant actually remember what it was like. This park has few rides and is more of an information centre about futuristic ideas and it is very interesting. Even has a t.v you have to talk to to make it work. This is the place that also holds a massive fireworks display once every week I think it is and the firework display is a must see. The fireworks are fantastic and there is also a story to it as well. This is a real must go to if you go to Florida as it is spectacular. Well I think that's enough about parks I also visited sea life place cant remember name(got pictures of me swimming with dolphins), crocidile park, haunted house, and some more places but I cant remember names as it has been a few years now since I went.
There was always something going on at international drive which is one reason why we decided to stay there. There are many pubs and clubs to choose from, restaurants, shops, arcades and parks to visit. We always had something to do and that is one reason why we want to go a third time. Everyone is so friendly in Florida which made the stay even more enjoyable. Every time we went out for a meal the service was of great quality and all the staff were always friendly where ever we went to eat. You also get free refills in Florida of coke and tea/coffee shame it wasn't the beer for my dad.
Cyprus Gardens This is a beautiful place and is where my sister got married. She got married outside in the gardens and it really is a magnificent place. There was waterfalls and flowers like you have never seen before. The service was very quick unlike in England where a marriage seems to take a life time unless it is you getting married I have been told. The pictures of my sisters wedding were fantastic and they looked very happy as a couple. That night we went back to the hotel and most of us went for a swim and it was very enjoyable.
If you are thinking of going to Florida I would seriously recommend it and also recommend to stay at international drive unless you don't like busy places but its not actually as busy as you might think. It is a great holiday and if you can afford to go more than 2 weeks go for it as you will need it as it is a very busy holiday and we didn't have much time to relax. And if we go again we will go to the beaches as we never went to any of the beaches in Florida and I hear that they are very nice!!!
