Orvieto is a medieval city and the historic centre is worth exploring for this. There are always too many tourists in Orvieto, at least for my likes, and this can spoil a bit your visit. From my childhood, I also remember a bakery just behind the church, with fresh pastries and delicatessen. I stayed only once at “Albergo Posta” in Via Luca Signorelli. If you are driving, you may want to stay in the countryside, in some “Agritourist” place.
