Belgium Beer Festival
Review of Ambassadeur, Ostende by tangerinebabe

Advantages: Excellent Location, Friendly Staff, Fabulous Food
Disadvantages: Noisy During the Day

This hotel was allocated as part of a coach tour to the Belgium Beer Festival. Three girls and I am very particular about cleanliness but we found the hotel to be great, in the heart of the City, easily located for shopping, markets, bars and clubs. Our room was basic, but extremely clean and good size. We had a brilliant view of the market square, which had a funfair on for the octoberfest, this closed about 10.30 at night and was noisy until then. ...
...no safety guards on them and sheer drops to the market below when open. Other than that, brilliant hotel. We were looked after really well by the staff and the breakfast was self service, with a selection of yummy fresh breads and croissants, jams, meats, cheeses, cold boiled eggs in shells?, yogurts, fruit and tea, coffee or fruit juice. Would definately recommend if you are looking for an adult break away. We'll be back there next October. The ... Read review

Excellent hotel centrally located in a quiet area
Review of De Hofkamers, Ostende by gptrem

Advantages: Classy, stylish, clean
Disadvantages: None l can think of

...to begin .... ! De Hofkamers in Ostend is situated in a quiet side street, a few steps from the Leopold Park. With the beach a few minutes walk away in one direction, and the main shopping centre the same distance the other, the location is perfect for every need. The staff are friendly, welcoming and polite, nothing is too much trouble. There is a private garage for guests, a seminar room, sun terrace, solarium, and fitness facilities. The 25 ...
...! This is where De Hofkamers rises above all other 3 star hotels in Ostend. The breakfast room is cosy but light, the table linen, crockery and utensils spotlessly clean. ln the centre of the room is a large table, groaning under the wieght of a hot and cold banquet breakfast buffet which will include fresh speciality breads of many kinds, bread rolls, croissants etc., meats, cheeses, cereals, fruits, yoghourts, jams, honey, bacon, toast, and eggs. ... Hotel Ostend, Ostend, Belgium
Review of Ostend Hotel, Ostende by loum70

Advantages: Very centrally placed
Disadvantages: Noisy side street!!!

I've just returned from a 7 day holiday with WA Shearings (see my other reviews for opinions on Shearings) staying at the Hotel Ostend. We stayed for 6 nights on a half board basis (July 30th- Aug 5th). The hotel has a website: http://www.hotelostend.be/ For anyone travelling independently, you can check and book reservations online. The website also has a photo- guided tour of the hotel. The hotel is quite centrally placed. It's pretty much over ...
...side street so you can't see the sea!) near to the marina. I'd say it was a medium sized hotel offering 122 en-suite rooms (some family rooms too) with a fairly large restaurant, a small bar (called the Safari bar and decorated in rather fetching tiger and zebra print!) It also has a children's room next to the bar which has a bouncy castle, trampoline and computers for the kids. There are also a sauna, solarium and gym located in the basement all ... Read review

MINT IMPERIAL!
Review of Best Western Hotel Imperial, Ostende by tange

Advantages: Friendly cosy and excellent location.
Disadvantages: Building work and only one small lift.

...Imperial is part of the Best Western chain ~ a large hotel group that has hotels all over the world. ~~~WHERE IS THE IMPERIAL HOTEL? The hotel can be found at 76 Van Iseghenlaan in the centre of Ostend. It is around ten to fifteen minutes walk from the Train and Tram stations and is in an excellent location. It is within sight of the seafront, beach and the main Albert Promenade and is also just opposite the Casino. We picked the hotel primarily ...
...I checked on the Best Western website and the price of one night's B&B varied depending on the standard of room and which options you choose ~ there is a corporate rate for example. Standard charges seem to rest at 100 EUR per room per night (80 for a single) and there is a choice of twin, double or single rooms (an option for a pull out bed the make a triple room was offered too). I have included the hotel web address at the end so you can have ... Read review

hotel europe
Review of Hotel Europe, Ostende by les60

Advantages: the hotel is very near to the promenade and shops
Disadvantages: the meals are very basic

when we stayed there,we arrived at approx. 9-30pm and we were told there was a meal waiting for us and to go to the dining room straight away. we sat down and the meal was served, we were astonished to find that it was a vol-au.vent with a mushroom sauce poured over it. the rooms are very nice and tastefully decorated, and the beds are very comfortable and plenty of wardrobe space. it is about 5-10 minutes walk to the main shopping centre and 5 ...
