Just wanted to let people know that there is now a branch in Staines. I went there recently and it is just as wonderful as the one in Wandsworth. ... more
I have been here three times so I'll describe it the last time which was for my boyfriend's birthday.
I'll start with the only problem which for me is the distance to the restaurant. This is fairly new in the UK (although there are loads all over the US and Australia) so the nearest one at present is about 45 - 50 mins away.
Once we arrived, we were seated very quickly indeed. The staff were very friendly and chatty and made us all feel very welcome. There is plenty to chose from on the menu such as pasta, steaks, chicken, ribs and salads. The food is all freshly cooked including sauces and everything tastes amazing.
I can't remember what the other seven people had so I'll just be able to tell you about my dishes, except for the starters which we all shared. Two of the starters are very original ideas, which are the ones we had, and they are the "Blooming Onion" (which is an onion opened up like a flower and each piece is bread coated with a ranch dip) and the "Aussie Fries" (which is a plate of their own type of fries which is covered in cheese with a ranch dip).
For my main course I had a rib-eye steak which was enormous!! I can't remember off hand what size it was but it was fantastic. I like my steaks medium rare and I had never found a place that did it perfectly until I came here. It was so tender and juicy.
My favourite thing about the whole restaurant though has to be one of their speciality drinks which is called "The Wallaby Darned" as is the most delicious drink I have ever tasted. It contains peach snapps, champagne, vokda and some other things but the best thing about it is that it is a frozen drink so to simplfy it, it is a bit like an alcoholic slush puppy of sorts.
I can never eat desert when I go there as all the portions are massive but as it was my boyfriend's birthday they gave him a bit of their cheesecake with a candle on it and sang him happy birthday. I have to say that it was the best cheesecake that I have ever tasted.
One other good thing about this place is that the smoking and non smoking sections are very well seperated so if you don't smoke (as I don't) you don't have to breathe in smoke as you're eating.
All in all, this is the perfect restaurant for people who really love their food, however there are only a few in the UK at present although they are trying to open up all around the country.
You haven't tasted the best until you have been here.
UPDATE
I went to their branch in Wandsworth but their other branches are in Romford, Enfield, Basildon and Birmingham. They did tell us that they plan to open up more all over the UK as they only opened two years ago with the Wandsworth one and now have 4 more already.

Advantages: Not so full of tourists, plenty of variety of resturants, good beach Disadvantages: Can seem "simple" to those who are not accustomed to the area.
the "butterfly" banners of Barra Shopping. "Huge" does not do this place justice. There are more shops that you can think of, and it is lucky they are open early until late (usually 10am until mid-night) as you can easily spend all day there.
Plus, there is a bowling alley, and a complete medical centre there, with a whole array of private doctors, examination centres, treatment centres, etc.
As mentioned briefly, there is another centre joined to Barra Shopping - New York Centre. And yes, it had a model of the Liberty Statue outside.
This is a smaller shopping mall, but it packs a punch with an excellent cinema (most films are in English with Portuguese subtitles), and some excellent restaurants. (OutbackSteakhouse is great!)
There are a few other good shopping centres, cinemas, etc in Barra - but it would take too long to write about ...

Virginia Beach offers a vast array of International cusines to satisfy every taste. The Golden Dragon on Pacific Avenue has excellent Chinese fare, Lynnhaven Fish House caters to the seafood lovers, Nawab's delivers excellent Indian dishes, and OutbackSteakhouse is just the thing for those who love beef. These are only a few of the main restaurants to be found in this beach resort.
For shopping, La Promenade is a small shopping center that contains specialty shops which, although pricey, are chock full of fine apparel and
home furnishings. If you prefer malls, Lynnhaven Mall is spacious and offers a little bit of everything - from novelties to specialty items. I could spend an entire day in Lynnhaven Mall and not visit every store.
Virginia Beach is an excellent ...

Advantages: Its cheaper than orlando!!! Disadvantages: No Disney!
When travelling to Florida this summer for a lengthy stay I searched far and wide for the best deal on flights, I noticed that on average you could save up to $200 per person just by flying into Tampa, I found that BA, were the most noticable in price difference between Tampa and Orlando, I myself saved roughly $230 ( roughly £126).
Tampa airport, as well as being cheaper than Orlando to fly to, is considerably less busy, due to it mainly serving national flights, you can check-in in no time, it actually took me 2 minutes to check in.
The airport is very easy to get to, and has excellent roads to both orlando/Kissimmee or south to Sarasota/ Bradenton. and provides free short term parking.
The airport itself albeit small has a number of eateries, including an excellent outbacksteakhouse.
While in Tampa, stock up on petrol (gas), as ...
