Wow, it's been a while since I was last on Ciao, 2002 was the last time in fact, and it's now early 2008. Seems like there have been some changes since then. I'd best start writing again.

Whenever I visit Oxford I always make a point of going to the Covered Garden Market. It is not the largest market in the world but is in indoors so is a pleasurable experience in all weathers, I do hate trapsing around markets in the rain and wind.
There is a good variety of stalls, many of which are like little shops and you can buy most things here from Fruit & Veg to secondhand books.
The market is situated just of the main shopping high street at the back of Boots the Chemist and is pretty easy to find. Easy access to Oxford City Centre is available by bus with a frequent services from the outskirts via a great Park and Ride Bus Service.
There are often some great bargains to be found. It does get quite busy particularly at Christmas Time and is a popular place with tourists.
