Here is a review of the Oyster Travel card

Where to buy

The oyster card costs £3.00 but when you return it back you do get your £3.00 back you can buy this online and at most newsagents.

Where to topup

The Oyster Card is a Electronic Pay as you go card which can be top up at Most newsagents and all Tube stations. you can also topup your card online and use the automatic topup feature which will put money on your card by your bank account when you need it to.

Buses

The Oyster card is easier to use it costs 90P per a Bus ride but this is capped at £3.00 a day so you can go on as many buses as you want for just £3.00 Saving you 50P as the standard one day travel card (papper is £3.50)

The Oyster card can be used on all TFL Buses But touching your card on the yellow Reader.

If paying by cash the bus fare is £2.00 so everytime you use a oyster card your saving £1.10 a trip.

Underground

The Oyster card can be used on the underground but the cost is different depending on what Zone your using. The Most Pricy timeto travel is Monday to Friday 07:00 - 19:00 where the fare is around 50p - £1.00 Extra. All Other times it cheaper. the Cash fare is allways Double of the onpeak fare. so for Exsmaple to get from North Greenwich to London Bridge it will cost £1.50 - £2.00 Oyster and £4.00 Cash fare.

To use your oyster card on the Underground you touch in at your station and touch out at the Deseteration station. if you don't touch out you may get charged more.

Overground Trains

Not all Overground Trains take Oyster cards but by 2012 Most of the Overground Trains in london will take the Oyster card.

well Overall i think the card is a Great Idea and if everyone switched to oyster then they will be saving Money.

The Cons of a oyster Card

Well here is the only con. It Tracks you whereever you go so if your on the bus it gets put on the database. If you touch in and out on the underground it will be on the database. I think we are the most watched people in the world lol
