I took a mini-cruise with P&O a while back and it was fantastic value. We boarded the Pride of Bilbao at Portsmouth, P&O's most luxurious ship that they operate in Europe. The shops are great, as are the restaurants and the Cinema's (Yes, there are two of them!)

The cabins can be a bit poky if you go on the cheap, but ther's so much to do that you will probably only be in there when your sleeping.

The caberet is quite entertaining, even if it is a bit cheesy, but there's plenty of other things to do if you don't like it.

It was a three day cruise to northern Spain, for only £99! This is great value by any standards. It might be a good idea to book one of these short cruises first, to see if it's your kind of thing, then book a monster cruise when you've got enough cash!
