we went on a cheap short break cruise, recommended by my neighbours, 4 days /3 nights .going to spain on my first ever trip abroad.i was really excited, the ship looked massive.all the staff were really polite and the meals were reasonable eg,full breakfast with toast £5.98, dinner,£6.98. sailed down to santurtzi, had 4 hours in spain , only drawback is you arrive about 8am but the shops don't open 'til 10am. sailed back to portsmouth but the weather was bad , gale force 10 , travel tablets are a must , you may not need them but it's always best to buy some just in case. it was an experience that i repeated and the weather was better , this time i took my 17 year old daughter and her friend , they absolutly loved it and made some new friends, there is entertainment in a large caberet room with a duo , a full show with the p&o players, eg songs from grease, one night, abba on another night etc , and you can dance the night away until around 3am , if you've got the stamina . there are game shows like bullseye and family fortunes , where you can win a mini cruise , there is also golf and video horse racing. they have one game of bingo at lunch time and another one in in the evening, with big cash prizes, around £180 a line and £400 a full house, as its only 1 game and takes around 15 mins, it's well worth playing we're going again in april and possibly again in june[ haven't booked june one yet], there are talks on dolphins and whales and the ship has 2 cinemas.a jacuzi , a sauna,fitness suite and a small swimming pool. feel that this cruise has had a bad write-up. we all enjoyed it and have made some new friends that we will be meeting again on our next trip it's not the amount of time in spain it's the experience of the cruise. just to add to the above review, we just came back off the last trip, we had a really good time and made more new friends, this time the sea was like a mill pond , and we saw some dolphins and a whale, can't wait to go again.

My husband goes on this once or twice a year and drinks and goes to the casino, he says I wouldn't really enjoy it but from your review I think I might, nice review too, Sue

Advantages: Relaxing travel, good price, If you want a cruising taster a good option Disadvantages: Expensive onboard food, innacurate cabin, transfer bus confusion.
