Wow i still cannot get over how fantastic this ferry is! Last week me and 9 friends caught this ferry from Hull to Rotterdam, the cost of this trip was £55 pound each or 2 for £69 at the money which is a special offer only available to travel on Thursday to Saturday. When arriving at Hull port we were immediately greated by some P&O staff that were very friendly and helpful, we was able to check in after queueing for around 5 minutes. Because we were in a group of ten we had to book in an 8 and a 2 due to P&O changing the booking numbers apparently after getting large groups of people causing trouble, and this was there way of preventing this. At the enterance to the ship the crew were there to greet us and help us in the direction of our rooms. We choose to take the lift which brought us into the centre of a maze of cabins. Once in our cabin we were quite comfortable although they were very small. We pondered for a while on where the second bed was until we discovered that it was integreted into the ceiling. Before heading back downstairs we decided to take a shower which resulted in the small ensuite being flooded, this is due to the shower being really small with a flimsy shower curtain, as a result i recommened leaving your towels and clothes on the outside of the door. I must also add that i then had to go and purchase a travel adapter as the sockets in the cabins are european ones. The bars were easy to find and the alcohol was not extationately priced although i did find the cost off food on the ship rather expensive although the resturaunt was all you can eat. Entertainment was good and included live music, kareoke, bingo and a disco. On arival to Rotterdam you are awoken at 6 o clock in the morning in every language imaginable which is not what you want to be hearing after a long night hitting the beer. I must stress that you should get up when the alarm sounds or you never will. The price of the ferry also included coach transfers to and from Amsterdam. The coach trip took aprx an hour and half which left us with around 5 hours in Amsterdam itselft which we found was plenty of time. Again there was night entertainment although most of the group went up to bed as the trip had worn them out. I would definately recommend this trip to anyone as it is good value for money and can almost certainly going again myself sometime in the near future.
