I have been lucky enough to travel on P & O 's faboulous cruise liners on two seperate occasions. The first time we travelled to Zebrugge and the second Zebrugge, Rotterdam and Le Havre. We were greeted by the whole crew and captain once we boared the ship (We have been on both the Artemis, which is mainly for adults and the Aurora). We were given a complementery buffet meal when we arrived whilst we waited for our twin cabin to be ready.
It was lovely attending the champagne reception when the ship set sail and a brass band played musicto see us off and watching the waves catch the sides of the grand ship.
Once we got to the room it was light and airy and very spacious, the room was extremely tidy and clean and we had no complaints at all with the space we were in. The bed linen was changed daily and the maids were very friendly and professional even if you were making the most of room service at 3am!
We dropped our bags and started to wonder round the ship which was breathtakingly huge and full of lots of things to see and do such as tennis court, casino, cinema, plenty of restaurants, cafe's, swimming pool, jacuzzi's and the list goes on.
The food at the main restaurant that everyone dined in at the evening was phenomenal and to a very high standard. It was a great chance to get chatting to new people as you are sat with other people on your table.
The excursions that are offered by P & O are very well worth the money and defiantely worth booking before hand to avoid disapointment. We went on the excursion to Paris on our second cruise which took 6 hours from Le Havre but very very worth it when we got to see the sights of Paris, we were taken round the Eiffel Tower, Arch de Triumph etc. and after a 2 hours stay in Paris headed back to Le Havre.
We loved every single aspect of both our trips with P & O Cruises and are keen to book another trip maybe for a longer time next time. Cruising is the fastest most classiest way to see the world and I highly recommend it!!
