Whilst I try to eat the local food when I travel - to me that is the whole point - this area of Spain (Torremolinos and Benalmadena) is very much a tourist trap and therefore offers very little in the way of good local food. As a result, there is a massive amount of Irish bars, Chinese buffets and pizzerias. This might sound like many people's idea of hell and it would usually be mine too, but the sun, sand and sea make up for it and I love to visit for the odd weekend here and there.
