Advantages: Near perfection! Disadvantages: Sanitation can be basic!
...I don't know why I'm telling everyone about this idyllic location because it's presently the 8th wonder of the world and could be spoilt. However, Krabi, or more specifically, Rai Lay Beach is what dreams are made of! This is a place which can only be reached by longtail boat from Krabi Town or if arriving from Phi Phi via boat from Ao Nang. The accomodation can either be at top end (Dusit Rayavadee Resort), Mid-range (Langka Deng - but no walk-ins) or budget end (various bungalow options). All are within 5 mins. from the beach as you can walk from one side of the island to the other, at this point, in about 10 mins.. There are various bars and restaurants with their feet in the sand. The sea is crystal clear and you can take a longtail boat, very cheaply, to various outlying islands with Chicken Island definately worth a visit, though...

Summary
This is a travelogue that will give information about the trip that my wife, Nikki, and I had to Thailand in the periode from 11th of September until the 28th of September. On our trip we first spent a few days in Bangkok before we flew down to Ao Nang beach outside Krabi. Then we flew back to Bangkok and took the bus to Hua Hin before ending up in Bangkok again. For the first time we travelled together with some friends of us. Their names are Olav and Allis and their daughter Tonje.

Advantages: The accommodation, the skiing, the nightlife... everything. Disadvantages: More costly than europe... but worth it!

Whistler – Blackcombe is a ski resort situated about two hours bus journey north of Vancouver in Canada and is quite simply the most incredible ski resort I’ve ever had the fortune of skiing in. Before I begin to wax lyrically about its virtues a little background on myself as regards skiing. I’ve been skiing now for about 15 years having started at the tender age of 7 and until travelling to Whistler I’ve only ever-skied in Europe. In this time I’ve been all over Europe in all the major skiing countries as well as the less well known Andorra, Bulgaria, Finland and Sweden.
