I have flown with PIA all the time when going to Pakistan and mostly they are known for delays. PIA is a good airline with acceptable food but the service can improve. The airline gives you food and drinks then that's it, if you want a drink after the meal you have to get up and get it your self. The good thing about PIA is that it takes you directly to the country which you want to go to.
I went to Pakistan and it goes straight there rather than Emirates who always have stop over's. I have flown with PIA a lot and sometimes the plane can be in good and neat conditions and sometimes it can be not clean. But I don't really mind about that as long as it gets me to the country that I want to go to. PIA can be great airline but sometimes they can be the worst airline in the world. Once a few years ago I went on this airline from London to Islamabad and believe it or not, the airline did not have enough meals for everyone on the plane. Everyone on the plane start complaining and had to stop in Lahore to get the meals on the plane and this resulted in a huge delay. Recently, PIA has been quite good but if you don't mind a stop over then you should choose Emirates. Over the years, PIA has gone expensive and this is why I choose to go on Emirates sometimes as they charge the same as PIA. The entertainment is good as they do show a lot of films and show different types of movies such as thriller, comedy, Pakistani or Indian film but mostly English films. The music is mostly Pakistani and Indian and there only one channel for English. All the seats have TV's on them.
When I hear about PIA, one word comes to my head and that is "Delay", there will always be a delay when you travel with PIA.
