These are our comments on a recent stay at the Palm Court Hotel in Qwara. We were there from the 24th October to the 31st October. We found the staff helpful, friendly and hard working. The food is cafeteria style, but is plentiful and varied with different choices each day. The fish dishes were particularly good. Cooked English breakfasts are available each day for those who wish to have them.
Our room was clean and tidy and was serviced daily. There were no problems with the plumbing, and hot water was always available for showers, etc. If you so wished, your towels could be changed on a daily basis and our bedding was changed in the middle of the week.
We noticed that the pool was cleaned out regularly and on most evenings there was live music in the bar.
The representatives were incredibly efficient and were able to answer any questions we posed. If you have not visited Malta before, the Welcome Meeting is definitely worth attending, with much information given about what to see and how to get around the islands - there is no pressure to book on any of the tours if you do not wish to do so.
The hotel is a no-frills establishment and should be viewed as such. If you want the façade, glitz and decor of some of the flashier hotels, then you must pay for it - the Palm Court provides real value for money.
Our flight by BritishJet was comfortable and meals were provided on both journeys. The staff were smartly dressed, friendly and efficient.
Sounds nice - but did you book it before you traveled, or "on arrival" at Luqa airport from the tour operator (which operator?)? What sort of price for the week? Was the hotel "couples only" or "family friendly"? A paragraph or two more to answer such questions will get you higher ratings.
