Just come back from Pamporovo and stayed at Hotel Pamporovo. Its a 5 star hotel which is a 3 star in UK. From the outside looks lovely, Our room was i mix up and only way to get a room we paid for was through the rep. When we told the reception they gave us a single for 2 people they said that's all they had left. We then told the rep and she got in changed a couple of days later.
The rooms are nice and big and bathroom are nice. You get a TV in your room, safe deposit box, wardrobe and bedside cabinets. In the bathroom you have a bath and a shower. (over bath).
There are 6 floors with 3 different lifts to use but also stairs if you wanted to use them.
The food was horrible, First day was nice with always a choice of salad and soup, meat chips and vegatbles.
The breakfast is horrible with a choice of beans which were like bullets, so hard you couldn't eat them, the bacon looked like it was just undercooked pieces of rectangle fat. The toast took 10-15 minutes to cook and then it came out too hard to eat and still white, The choice of cereals were hoops or muesli with warm milk. The breakfast was served at a reasonable time though 7.30-9.30 in Bulgarian time.
The dinner was swerved at 6.30-9.30. The dinner was salad again vegetables which were rubber and the brocoli, carrots, cauliflower tasted like it was heated up from the previous day as they were gradually getting worse.. The fries were black and bruised. The meat was still pink. The pudding was lovely.
The room service come round every day to change the towels, hoover and make the bed.
The hotel is based about 5 minutes from the shops and other hotels and is right next to a church.
The food was that bad we had to eat out everyday and saw alot of people in the white hart who was staying at the same hotel eating out.
The hotel would be lovely if you were self catering. There's also 6 dogs that like to lay on the field opposite the hotel. They are not on leads and just run around freely. Some do follow you and like to have a stroke from you. We were told by our instructor that some dogs do have rabies so be careful but he didn't tell us this till the last day as that was when we mentioned the dogs.
