--The Hotel-- Although not new the hotel is in good shape. The reception is pretty roomy with a god few chairs for people who want to sit. There is also free internet access on the computers in reception and free WIFI in reception too. There is an on site restaurant which i have always found to be really nice. The cheese and bacon omlette for breakfast is gorgeous. Also, burgers are massive!!!
--Rooms-- The rooms arent massive but arent 'London size' either. They are more than big enough if you want to just sleep in your room or spend a couple of hours there after shopping yourself out. There is a large TV and wardrobe with a fridge in. The fridge is empty so can be filled with your own things. The rooms also have air con/heating, which was needed in the middle of December!!! There are no tea/coffee making facilities but they are able to provide you with a kettle. The bathroom was big enough for the 4 of us. There is a bath with an overhead shower which was gorgeous. They also give you some essentials in the bathroom and fresh towels everyday. The rooms are cleaned daily. We stayed in a room on the Queens Blvd side, although it can be a little noisy esp as all the drivers love their hooter you can just watch the world go by.
--Staff-- The staff are always very polite, especially those on reception and in the restaurant. There is a pick up/drop off to the 3 main airports which is free coming in but $6 per person going back which isnt bad considering the cost of a cab. The drivers are hilariously funny!!!
--Getting into Manhattan-- The local subway is about 10 minutes walk away, then around 20/30mins on the train. Its $25 for a 7 days unlimited ride metro ticket. So for the amount you save on your hotel the $25 is a small price to pay.
--Overall-- Would i stay again??? Absolutely, im planning to go again next year.
