Advantages: Discovering a really beautiful piece of the U.S.A Disadvantages: None unless you want sandy beaches and palm trees.
out of the tortoise windows, on the right, as you rise up further into the mountains you can see the Grand Lady standing proud above the tops of the trees, still covered in snow, a clear outline of white contrasting the beautiful blue skies behind. Mount Reynier is much further away than it looks, its size unimaginable until you drive up to it. But not until you have spent at least a good few days in Seattle exploring its hidden secrets missed by a rushed day around the town and moving on.
The road heads onwards and upwards surrounded by some of the largest Redwood trees, and many other varieties flanking the road on either side.. Little wooden shacks seemingly miles from anywhere display their wares for visitors to buy. Eventually the driver will pull into Seattle, but not before pointing out the wonderful views of the pacific ...

Advantages: Good location, good facilities, really comfy beds! Disadvantages: Expensive
Last summer my boyfriend and I travelled across Canada and down through America. Our first stop in the States was Seattle. Now, being two students we wouldn't normally have given the Hilton a second thought. We were pretty sure that the Hilton would provide us with a clean, comfortable welcome so we jumped at the chance of staying there.

Advantages: Climate is quite similar to England Disadvantages: Time-difference means big jetlag, and calls home are hard
.g. Metropolitan Bar & Grill - great steak and oysters. Or for spicier tastes, Fusion-asian and pacific rim dishes are prepared in restaurants like Wild Ginger on 3rd & Pike.
However the city is like a ghost town after 10pm - seems that most Americans are tucked up in bed very early at night.
Sports fans are well catered for within the city by the local teams. Seahawks Baseball have a great new stadium (our last company meeting was held in the grounds). Seattle SuperSonics basketball is well cool, though the tickets are quite pricey. My favourite though was the Washington Huskies college football team, unlike Pro-Football with padding and commercial overtones, the college game is more physical and captivating to watch.
Like all of America, getting around is painful if you don't hire a car. Seattle is well connected by interstate highway ...
