...Have you seen the film? If you have, you would have had to have fallen asleep to notice the beauty of this island! Kefalonia is one of the small Greek islands, offering picturesque scenery, clear blue seas and not to mention peace! One of the hotels on the island is the Princess. It's located about 25 minutes from the airport and is only 300 meters from the nearest shop / supermarket. The beach is located at about 500 meters. You only have to look at the pictures (http://www.princesshotel.gr) of the hotel to understand where you'll be staying. A small hotel having only 40 bungalow style rooms means you won't be bumping into hundreds of people! It has a large pool with enough sun beds for nearly every guest. Advantages: Family run hotel so personal treatment

...Pelagos Bay has been the best holiday I have ever had! Billy,Barbara,Yanni,asthper made our holiday! This was not my usual type of holiday but we have booked later in the year Pelagos Bay Hotel is 4km out of Scala centre about 20mins pleasant walk, I suggest a taxi for the return journey! Tip ask the driver before hand how much it should be no more than 5 euro. Book yourself in for the bbq night on thursdays and Sean plays mondays (very good) If you want proper greek kebab ask Billy or Yanni they will order them in for you Breakfast is simple toast coffee cornflakes but what more do you want? The snack bar is excellent! Try the bannana pancake and the greek mezza is good for 2 lunch Everyone speaks very good english and make your stay very pleasent. ...I have visited Kefalonia 6 times over the years and would love to visit every year if possible. When you arrive at the airport and first step off the plane, and feel the heat, and see the sea and sunshine - its a good feeling. For me it is like arriving home. Theres something about Kefalonia that makes me feel at ease and relaxed. I have always stayed in the resort of Skala as its quiet, and is near the beach. There are not too many nightclubs and all the restaurants serve greek food and also typical English food! I think that is a major plus for me that there is not too many nightclubs etc on this island as it retains its charm and keeps away the crowds! I have stayed at several different places within Skala - Makis Hotel, which was newly opned when we stayed there. It was lovely being so close to the beach and the road wasnt... Read review
