You can walk right to the end and see the different colours of water mingling together. The landstrip really is narrow. In most places it is just wide enough for a house with a good sized garden each side, and a road down the middle.
The beach is lovely - pale sand, overhanging palm trees. But you need to watch out for mosquitoes, sandflies and far worse, killer jellyfish in the season. Take advice before you go in the water. ... more

When we went there was one cafe, an awful little place which gave some of our party a bad stomach. I definitely would not recommend it. A shame, because the site overlooking the river was lovely. Apart from this, there's nothing else for tourists except the natural environment.
