Not for Mamas and Papas!

Advantages: Comes with loads of extras
Disadvantages: Too many to list here.

I bought this pushchair after I had my youngest child for a number of reasons. It came with loads of extras which when bought seperatly can work out costing more than the pushchair, and it was very light, only weighing 5 kgs. This was a very important factor as I live in a block of flats on the third floor, and there is no lift. So I knew that I would have to carry it and a child up and down the stairs on a daily basis. It seems that this pushchair is exclusive to Argos, and dosen't seem to be even available in the Mamas and Papas stores, or even on-line. In hindsight, I suppose alarm bells should have been ringing. When I bought this, I paid £99.99, although the price has since dropped to £69.99. It also came with a 6 month manufacturer guarantee. For the mamas and papas amongst you

Advantages: great quality
Disadvantages: expensive

Babies are expensive. We used to be under the naïve impression that babies are very small, so how much stuff could they need. After much aimless wandering around Mothercare and Mamas and Papas we realised the error of our ways, there seems to be no end to the stuff that babies need and this is before you get to the stuff that you want to buy that they could probably do without. We spent a horrendous amount in Mamas and Papas whilst Scarlett was still a bump! Mamas and Papas always seems to me to be like the ?designer? shop of the baby world. Whilst Mothercare is practical and quite down to earth. Mamas and Papas seems a bit more upmarket. Well as upmarket as baby stuff gets! Flicking through their catalogue its full of slim models in white linen outfits holding pretty babies who look more like their younger brothers and sisters than ...

Review of Mamas & Papas

Papa Roach soften the rock

Advantages: Polished hooks, many accessible songs, impressive singing
Disadvantages: Too many ballads, lots of soft rock, feels contrived and forced

It is really difficult to pinpoint what Papa Roach's musical direction really is. Their first album was a fusion of rap and metal which actually worked well but just as quickly as they had brought their fans this style of music, they quickly dropped it on their follow up album. This was in truth quite cynical as the "nu metal" genre was dying a death and so their style was reinvented. Their second effort was a muddled affair and difficult to really enjoy but after a terrific third album, I was truly looking forward to their fourth studio album. The album is titled Paramour Sessions and comes from the fact that the album was recorded in the Paramour studios and according to the band members the place holds a very weird ambience where spirits can be felt. I don't know about how true this is but it is what inspired them to produce this ...
