Paradise Wildlife Park is an excellent day out for all ages; from babies to adults and is one of the UK's BEST interactive wildlife parks. The prices are reasonable for the amount of attractions and things there are to do at the park, and with bigger families, discounts are available.
The park itself has many attractions and rides, as well as all the wildlife. These include: (*extra charges apply) (**Summer only) > On Safari Adventure Golf * > Crazy Sand* > Tiger Falls: Panning for Gold* > Tumble Jungle > Speedway museum > Rides and adventure playground > Swan Ride* > Face Painting > Manning’s Fair Ground Attractions > The Paradise Lagoon** > Canyon Trucking: Radio Controlled Trucks* > Animal Feeding Bags* > Woodland Railway*
As well as all these attractions there are many shows, talks and animal feeds to see during your day visit such as; The Weird and Wonderful Show, Creepy Creature Show, Bird of Paradise Flying Display and lastly Animal Olympics. This is all included on the map which you receive upon
arrival by the friendly and helpful staff. You can also pay separately to feed the wild animals yourself, but I personally find this is quite expensive. For example, you can feed the penguins for 30 minutes daily at 3pm, which will cost you £150 per person, or feed the big cats for 45 minutes daily at £160 per person. This an amazing experience but also a very expensive experience. This is most probably ideal for real lovers of a certain animal to feed, or for a present/gift or special occasion.
Other experiences include (Separate payment): 'Shadowing a keeper' for the day which ranges from £90 to £200 depending on your chosen possibility. You can spend all day getting to know your chosen species or type of animal, you learn about hem and help the keeper care for them. 'Up Close and Personal' to either Meerkats, Red Pandas, Tapirs, Creepy Creatures or Birds Of Prey. These are also quite expensive and range from £90 to £149 per person, daily. 'Tours' are also available to parents and children, and families of up to 5 to10. This includes various animal tours around the zoo where you can interact and learn about the animals. The price range is £99 to £250, with extra charges for extra guests to your group. ‘Photography’, only for one day a year where professional wildlife photographers visit the zoo and help you photograph the best wildlife pictures up close from 1pm to 8pm. This costs £175 per person including refreshments, afternoon tea and a buffet supper. I think this is excellent value for money if you are a very interested wildlife photographer in the making. 'Adopt an animal' gives you the chance to adopt any species of animal in the zoo which helps to care for them for only £75 for a whole year! I think this is fantastic value for money and a great feeling knowing you have adopted your own tiger, lion or zebra or meerkats and reptiles.
So apart from all of these great attractions and experiences, there is a lot of amazing wildlife to be seen! They have big cats, such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and tigers. Camels, Alpaca, Zebras, Wallabies, Mara and Hog Deer, which all enjoy being fed, buy you! A Rainforest Exhibition with Tamarin, Sloths and Three-banded Armadillo. The Angkor Reptile Temple with Snakes, Turtles, Hissing Cockroaches from Madagascar and even a Chinese Alligator. Also from Madagascar they have Lemurs in the Park and with Meerkats from Southern Africa you and your family can visit animal from all around the world!
If all of this isn’t enough for you then: For Adults: you can relax in the beautiful gardens and take a nice walk in the brilliant woodland trail, where you can also take your children on the woodland railway train around. Or while your children play in the play areas, you can relax in the cafe and treat yourselves to a Starbucks Coffee. For your Children: there are four huge play areas with three being outdoors and one indoors for your younger children. (There is also 'The Special Place' for wheelchair users, which is adapted with rubberised flooring and play equipment).
Like any attractions, the park includes all your needs such as: numerous toilets , mother and baby facilities, cafes, restaurants, ice cream and treat caravans, two car parks, gardens and transport links; there is a free minibus service to and from Broxbourne Station.
Prices to get into Paradise Wildlife Park are as follows: Adults: £14 Children: £11 Senior Citizens: £11 Guests with disabilities and their careers: £8 per person Groups with 20+ people (when booked in advance): £8 per person Family Ticket (Two Adults and Two Children): £48 Family Ticket (One Adult and One Child): £24
You can either pay upon arriving or online on their website.
You can also get a season ticket costing £5 per child per month and £7 per adult per month. This is great for saving when you often visit the park, even if you want to take your children to the play areas while you have a coffee with your friends!
Opening times are 9.30am-6.pm in Spring/Summer and 9.30am-5.pm in Autumn/Winter.
I would recommend this fantastic day out to Paradise Wildlife Park to anyone and everyone at any age!
