If I could I would attach the pictures I took at the fantastic park to really empathise my experience!
I was stunned by the detailed mosaic work applied to the parks features. It's hard to believe so much effort has gone to it!
As soon as you walk into the park there is a smack in your face water fall feature in the middle of arched stairs leading toward the top where the columns are.
Well before it is cafe and 2 gatehouses which are again fascinating to look at. The Architect Antoni Gaudi has used basic and simple colour combination on these gatehouses like any other regular cottage like buildings. However the difference was it was done in mosaic! The windows and roof structure was high lighted in combination of white and blue/grey patch work pattern. I have to say it wasn't exactly a wow factor for me but it was nice to look at.
The water feature was wow wow and wow! Such a pretty and romantic piece of work done and definite picture to take with your partner! As you go up you can see a lizard like statue which I found quite odd but it went quite well above the water feature!
Another favourite was the arched seat in the middle of the land of these steps (which are also mosaic!) a fantastic picture to take! As you come to the top there are wide columns holding the terrace above. This again where nice to look at but there is a surprise which lead u to a neck ache! The ceiling itself has patterns of mosaic!
Anyway this is getting long! As you browse through the path way you sure definitely find different feature to get astonished by! The two that made my day where:
1) The path way arch symbolising palm trees (I think!). It was like walking down the love tunnel.
2) The terrace top was amazing and worth the trip there. a) Not only is the edge of the terrace designed with beautiful colours and patterns but it is shaped like a bench to sit on. How convenient is that! b) You got excellent bird's eye view of the park. c) There was a friendly jolly performance done musician/dancer of the park in Spanish of course! They where amazing to watch and listen to. On top without realising I started wobbling my head as I had the erg to dance to their music. It was delightful!
In general I can't make any bad comments towards this park. Although it was confusing to find the place even with a map but near by local guided us! oh almost forgot there was a slop to climb to get to the park which was a nightmare as I had my heels on but it was fun and easy to run down! Lol
The cafe was slightly expensive but thats what you expect from tourist attractions! i guess they have to make some money as the entry was free of charge! Another bonus!

Advantages: Wonderful architecture, galleries and parks, superb romantic atmosphere, great for shopping Disadvantages: Aged quarters can feel a bit grotty, but that is natural and part of their charm. More expensive than nearby localities, but then cities always are.
