De Eemhof is a Center Parcs holiday village less than 40km east of Amsterdam and 40km north of Utrecht in the centre of the Netherlands. The main concept of Center Parcs is to provide a basic level of accommodation in woodland surroundings, while having plenty of energetic activities laid on. There are 4 Center Parcs villages in the UK, but more in the Benelux countries and Germany. This was our third visit to different villages, having also been to De Heijderbos (Netherlands) and Erperheide (Belgium).

I have been to Centre Parcs (SHERWOOD) a few times, and thought I'd share my experiences with this review. The last time I visited Centre Parcs was with my partner in February of this year - the only time I have ever been during the Winter months, but as it is both of our birthday's around January/February time, my partner took me as a birthday treat, and I have to say it was probably the best birthday present ever. We stayed in an 'Executive Lodge', which was a two-storey house, and were there from Friday morning - Monday afternoon.
ARRIVAL

Advantages: A good friendly community pub. Disadvantages: I can't live there all of the time!
Although we like to travel to visit interesting and new pubs it is often nice to pop to the pub around the corner! It is good to have a place nearby that you can nip to without worrying about taxis, buses or having to trek miles for a beer and some food. We have a pub like that just a couple of streets away; a pub that has become our local and a bit of a home from home. This little pub is The Industry!
~~~WHERE IS IT?
The Industry can be found on Queens Street - more or less opposite the shops on Newbold Road (the end near to the centre of Chesterfield). It is about five minutes walk from the town centre and even less from my house, so really does constitute my local pub. It is just off the main road and has houses and shops nearby, along with the amenities of the centre of town.
