The Wild West - Disney Style!

Advantages: Fun atrractions, superb attention to detail
Disadvantages: None

Frontierland is the first the five areas of the Disneyland Park that you will come to if you walk in a clockwise direction from the end of Mainstreet, USA (the main thoroughfare and entranceway to the park). It is, as all Disney parks are, a themed are and this time the theme is the Wild West. It is an excellent place for young cowboys (and cowgirls, of course) to discover the legends of the gold rush. In my opinion, Frontierland is Disney at its ...
...phenomenal and, although it isn't the magic that makes the younger kids' eyes light up, it will no doubt capture the imaginations of the older kids and adults alike. The rides here are thrilling, but not white knuckle and the attractions are well thought out and very well presented. The centre-piece of Frontierland is Big Thunder Mountain, home to the run away mine train. This provides an exciting roller-coaster that is more suitable for all ages ...

Where the Magic Begins

Advantages: A great introduction to the park
Disadvantages: Shopping madness

Main Street, USA is the first place you’ll go when you arrive at Disneyland Paris and is the place where the magic begins. There aren’t actually any rides as such here, but it is the hub of all activity in terms of Disney Parades, meeting and greeting the characters and, most importantly, shopping! It’s also the best place to take an obligatory photograph of sleeping beauty’s castle which provides the centre-piece for the whole park and the back ...
...will draw you back to Main Street, USA during the day. First of all it is the starting point for all of the parades and the best vantage point from which to admire the massive floats upon which your favourite characters dance and wave. You should pick up a programme as you enter the park that will give you full details of all the parades taking place that day. In true Disney style, the parades are a chance to show off and you can’t fail to be drawn ...

Join Indiana for a whip-cracking ride.

Advantages: The scenery and turns of Big Thunder Mountain but this time WITH SPEED!
Disadvantages: None for me - but some people find it too uncomfortable

Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril ( Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril) is another of my favourite Disneyland Resort Paris.rides and is located in Adventureland. The ride opened on July 30, 1993 and is based on the Indiana Jones films, visitors are taken on an adventure riding in a mining train through a lost temple. When it was built it was the first roller coaster in any Disney theme park with an inversion and it also has the highest height ...
...(upside down) loop in it. Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril reaches a summit of around 52ft, with a total track length of 1968ft. The ride seemed amazingly short and is over before you know it ( I'd say it is less 2 minutes long) The cars are small - 4 seats, or 8 people per car, with secure shoulder harnesses to keep you in (that can be very uncomfortable, if you accidentally pull them too tight towards you). This is a ride that we have hardly ...

"happiest cruise to ever sail 'round the world."

Advantages: Pleasant, relaxing a nice sentiment.
Disadvantages: The song can iritate you after 8 consecutive rides!!

IT'S A SMALL WORLD AFTER ALL DISNEYLAND PARIS I can guarantee that anybody who has ever had the pleasure to ride on "It's a Small World After All" in Disneyland Paris will now have 'that' darned song going round in there head!! Most people either hate or love "It's a Small World". Those that hate it often blame the repetitive theme song or saccharin sweet subject matter. I couldn't begin to estimate the amount of times that I have ...
...a world of tears It's a world of hopes and a world of fears There's so much that we share That it's time we're aware It's a Small World after all. There is just one moon and one golden sun And a smile means friendship to ev'ryone Though the mountains divide And the oceans are wide It's a Small World after all" Now you ARE singing it aren't you!! Classed by Disney as the "happiest cruise to ever sail 'round the world.", "It's A Small World" is a dark ...

Whip around the temple of Peril!

Advantages: Fun and one of the only two coasters in this park
Disadvantages: Queues can get long in peak seasons

...a close second is the Indiana Jones and the temple of Peril rollercoaster. This is high speed coaster with loops and drops and is suitable for those who like fast rides. Which park is it in? This coaster is located in the main Disneyland Park and is in the Adventure land section of the park. Adventure land is at the back of the park on the left hand side and so it is one of the attractions that is furthest from the entrance gates of the park! ...
...it? The ride is of course a roller coaster if you hadn’t already guessed that from the title of the ride! However it is on a much smaller scale than what the Aerosmith coaster is. The carriage for a start is made up of two linked sections and each fits 6 riders in so a maximum of 12 of course riding in any one go. The ride area is smaller too with the track being shorter. However there are still drops and plenty of twists and turns involved! What ...
