This relates to a departure from Terminal 2B on 17th Nov 2008.
This is a dreadful place to spend any time at all in.
You gain access to an area with a reasonably priced cafe/bar, not very comfortable seating. The toilets are fine and free.
The real shocker comes when you have to go through security into the departure area. There is NO SEATING here at all! Despite several aircraft departing from here including many easyJet and British Airways flights, if you want to sit down your only option is on a luggage weighing belt not in use or on the hard tiled floor. At this point there is only one small cafe/bar which is "service at your table", I heard one fellow traveller say that it is very expensive. The only people I saw using it were all standing as there appeared to be no seating.
Once there is a short time left to board your aircraft you can eventually gain access through another much more thorough security check to seats to wait for boarding instructions. If like us you were 4 hours early for your flight then this terminal is close to hell on earth. What on earth are the airport owners thinking of? It's nothing short of barbaric. Heaven help you if you are ill, elderly or with children. The national airport of Gambia in west Africa puts one of Europe's most modern airports to shame. In fact, it's enough to put you off visiting Paris ever again.

Will have to take a cushion. Never like CDG since just after 9/11 they left luggage trollies, piled high with cases going to planes, accessable and unguarded, when the rest of the world was ultra security. Regards Steve.
