I wouldn't want a "Holiday Inn" this hotel Advantages: Good location Disadvantages: dull, dull, dull - and not cheap either ...in my room at the Holiday Inn in Paris St Germain de Pres I couldn't help but reflect that the designers drew heavily from that area of the colour palette best characterised by the term 'nicotine'. Not a popular colour card at the 'mix your own Dulux' decorator centre and with good reason. This is a Holiday Inn that's badly in need of refurbishment and I was rather relieved to only be there for the one night. My colleague said he was jealous and would rather be in my shoes with Paris at my feet for the evening but I wasn't in any mood to take advantage of it. I was on my own, tired and I had work to do. I pre-booked online at the Holiday Inn website which they always say is the cheapest way to book but it also means you have to pay in advance. Le meridien Paris Advantages: spotlessly clean, luxury hotel. Disadvantages: costs ...cook, and we decided on Le meridian hotel in Montparnasse – Paris. The hotel was built in 1974 and has 25 floors, with eight lifts (elevators) and 953 rooms. The hotel offers a range of ‘extras’ including, 24 hour room service and reception and concierge desk: Fax machine, interconnecting rooms, e-mail facilities, Currency exchange, Laundry/dry cleaning service, Safe deposit and express check out. Just another Novotel.....or is it? Advantages: Clean, very modern, nice rooms and great rates Disadvantages: Some will prefer a hotel closer to the Champs Elysee ...Paris and this time the Novotel Tour Eiffel. I was really looking forward to arriving at this hotel because I had heard so much about it and so I already had an idea in my head about what it would be like. The hotel: The hotel is a 4 star hotel that is located quite close to the Eiffel tower on the left bank in the 15th Arondissement of Paris. It is in fact just across the main road from the river bank. It is also within easy reach of the Louvre. ... ...outside you see the usual Novotel sign in blue and the bottom half of the building looks a lot better which makes you feel a bit more at ease. Upon entering the lobby you can start to see that this is actually a very modern hotel with a much classier looking interior and staff to greet you. I will not choose Concorde Lafayette anymore Advantages: Excellent location Disadvantages: Poor service quality ...that the hotel room at Concorde Lafayette costs 450 euro at that time but we only paid 180 euro as per a business agreement between my company and the hotel. This does not justify the poor quality of the service of course. Cheated by Hotel that spoilt my Honeymoon Advantages: Near Eifel Tower Disadvantages: Cheated, no common sense manager ...and I stayed in this hotel during our honeymoon in 29th November 2007. The hotel's decoration, room space and location are above average. However our honeymoon holiday was spoilt by an inconsiderate and lack of common sense manager on the last day of our stay 5th December. We had to leave the hotel very early in the morning to catch a train to Zurich, so we enquired for alternative breakfast that is part of our package. The manager on the previous ... ...that option, and while we were rushing to check out the following day, the manager charged us 9 Euro dollars for two omelettes whichs looks like plain eggs to me. We told the manager that it is unfair to charge us as he never indicated it is chargable. He simply said I am sorry but you have to pay. This discussion went on for 15 mins and we had no choice but to pay because we were late for our train. This resulted us to miss our train to Zurich ...
