Hotel Ibis Ornano, Montmartre, Paris
Advantages: Great value for money, great location and easy access Disadvantages: None
This hotel is great value for money. Situated very near to Montmartre it is an ideal base for seeing Paris on a budget. With good Metro access (Porte de Clignancourt) is only a couple of minutes walk, it is easy to get to from any of the main railway stations and easy to reach all of the attractions of Paris by Metro or bus. In the immediate area, there is a special bus service that will take you up the hill to Montmartre for a visit to the Sacre ... ...Then hop back on the bus to go to down the hill to the Place Pigalle, location of the Moulin Rouge. A Paris Visite travel card (available for 1 to 5 days) will give you travel on buses, Metro and trains across all of Paris.
With many other attractions in the area, the Hotel Ornano is well situated for great bars and bistros, just off the main tourist track, so the prices are much more reasonable, and the standard of the food generally excellent. ...

Great little find in Paris- Hotel France Albion
Advantages: Fantastic location and large sized room! Disadvantages: Breakfast disappointing
...share my thoughts on this hotel in Paris where my best friend and I spent a long weekend. We chose the hotel for its location- close to shopping district and centre of Paris and we werent disappointed there. We were feeling confident about the hotel as we had had good communication with them before we left- we had changed dates and asked to leave our luggage in the hotel as we were arriving early.
We were not disappointed when we arrived- the outside ... ...at one time considering the hotel was quite busy.
I would definitely stay at this hotel again as the location can't be beat- metro stop 2 mins away and 15mins walk to galeries lafayette and opera district. the room cost us 119 euros per night with breakfast included. this was for a twin room, i think doubles are slightly cheaper.
the hotel has an excellent website
www.hotelfrancealbion.com which has an English section. ...

hotel du cadran
Advantages: location, clean, english friendly Disadvantages: small ish rooms
Stayed here in August 2008 and I have to say it was one of the most pleasant experiences of a great trip to a great city. Set in a perfect location, 5 mins for the Eiffel Tower and great connections to all over the city. Wonderful shops and restaurants right on the doorstep. The staff are friendly and do not mind speaking English. We had a problem with our room and they sorted it straight away. It was clean, modern, quiet and comfortable and it has ... ...Parisian hotels they are not massive the rooms but everything you could want is provided and if not just ask... they seemed willing to help us with anything. Breakfast was a bit expensive so we went to one of the nearby cafes. much cheaper and could sit on the street and watch the city do its thing.... ...

ooh la la- I love Paris!
Advantages: right in the centre Disadvantages: small room- but thats Paris
I stayed in the Pavillon Louvre Rivoli- Paris for 3 nights on a work trip in November 2005. I was really impressed with the hotel's location- a ten minute walk from Galeries Lafayette, I was in heaven!
The desk staff in the hotel were very courteous and polite and there was a lift which was handy to get my bags to my room. My room was on the small side but as there was only me staying in the room (even though it was a double) I didnt mind, and paris ... ...room was pleasantly decorated in pale yellow and terracotta shades, the bathroom was again very small but very clean and toiletries provided, plenty of hot water as well!
One thing slightly annoying was that on the first evening i reported the bedside lamp as not working, and despite reporting this again the next day it was still not fixed by the time I left. however i did mention it on checking out and the manageress was very apologetic.
Breakfast ...

A Great Base for Exploring Paris
Advantages: Location, Price, Staff Disadvantages: Uphill walk
The Comfort Hotel Place Du Tertre is located in the Montmartre area of Paris and is a stone’s throw away from the Sacre Coeur church in one direction and the world famous Moulin Rouge cabaret club in the other. The nearest metro station is Blanche, which is on the blue (number two) line and connects straight to the main train station, Gard Du Nord, which makes it very easily accessible from the airport. From the metro station it is around a five ... ...bed and breakfast at the Comfort Hotel and I would say that this is about as good as you are going to get in terms of value for money. This hotel is no good if you expect luxury – as is always the case, you will have to pay through the roof for that. But as a cheap base for a short visit to this fascinating city, the Comfort Hotel Place du Tertre is an excellent choice. ...
