Almost perfect
Advantages: Cheap and cheerful cental Paris hotel Disadvantages: For budget travellers
...the rooms in the hotel Perfect have private facilities so be carful when making your booking to stipulate whether or not you wish to share. All floors can be reached by stairs or the rickety lift which creeps slowly upwards as you wonder if you might spend your whole visit to Paris stuck inside. The rooms are basic in their furnishing and the decor is old and tired but they are clean. The hotel appeals to travelers who spend most of their time out ... ...are what makes the hotel Perfect an attractive option for your stay in central Paris. If you are looking for luxury and being pampered this is not the place to go. If you are traveling on a budget and don`t mind the basic hostel style of the younger traveler this is a lovely place to rest your weary legs after pounding the boulevards and avenues of one of the worlds great cities.
You will find it very hard to find a cheaper hotel. ...

Not the 'Paris' experience I was expecting
Advantages: near to subway station and nice bakery Disadvantages: dirty basic rooms, scary man in our room, generally rude staff
...hostels when I arrived at Hostel Richard. Nothing, however prepared me for the experience ahead of me. On arriving at about 10pm my friend and I found the front door to the hostel blocked shut from the inside with a chair. After knocking on the door a man let us in, and in my opinion was rather rude! Throughout our check in he kept trying to look behind us to see the TV (which appeared to be showing some sort of porn!). The Hostel room was the dirtiest ... ...simply daren't visit the communal shower room! We used our sleeping bags as the sheets were dirty too.
On our last night we were due to leave early in the morning - about 4pm to catch an early train. We were awake and getting ready at about 3am, when our bedroom door was unlocked from the outside, and the man from our check in experience entered our room. Obviously we were quite shocked to find a man entering our room at 3am! He then said 'Sorry ...

Handy for Montmartre, but an intimidating neighbourhood
Advantages: Handy for Montmartre, Opera and 'Les Puces' Disadvantages: Neighbourhood at night
The hotel is ideally situated for the Paris Flea Market (Puces de St Ouen) and Montmartre, all within reasonable walking distance. Hotel itself is clean and reception staff very helpful. Continental breakfast was good, but used trays were not cleared from the tables. Entrance stairs to the rooms looked a little 'tired' and could do with a new carpet and freshening up. Check out and check in were efficient and a well stocked bar encouraged us to stay. ... ...would be good in Summer. The area itself can feel a bit intimidating in the evening, although we did not experience any problem. Maybe not suitable for single travellers or a girl's weekend. On the whole though, my wife and I enjoyed the stay and would return again when visiting the Flea Markets. ...

Our stay at the Termas da Azenha in Portugal
Advantages: nice house, nice location, wonderful mosaics and art around, very nice host Disadvantages: condensation because of the cold outside
We went for a quick holiday to Portugal, to a region we did not know yet: close to the coast, in an area with many birds. We landed late, but the owner waited up for us. Next morning, we had a nice breakfast, went for a walk, rested, got a massage .... the atmosphere there was so relaxed! I mean, it was just a simple, good life.
Our batteries are charged again. The massages were good. I took a relaxmassage, my partner a shiatsu. And we both had ... ...and internetconnection, so we enjoyed ourselves fine.
The only disadvantage: you had to ventilate the house every day, by opening doors and windows, because it condensated very much. Everywhere tiles on the floor, in the bathroom (a mosaic bathroom, wonderful!) even on the ceiling. Perfect for the summer, but in winter a bit anoying. Anyway, a superstay, we´ll certainly be back. When the swimmingpool is ready. They said it would be ready in a few ...

i felt like at home in the centre of this amazing city!!
Advantages: Very central Disadvantages: None
I stayed 3 days in this hotel, I think the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was really good, and the rooms clean and smelled great! The hotel was located probably in the most convenient location in Paris, just a short walking distance from the metro and just next to the famous shopping area of the Champs Elyses. I was really surprised how professional the staff are in the hotel, they can all speak really good English and are always ... ...through the internet, they had a really good offer, and it was definetely a good value for money. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and convenient place to stay in one of the most amazing cities I have ever visited, I would highly reccomend to stay at this hotel. ...
