I wouldn't want a "Holiday Inn" this hotel
Advantages: Good location Disadvantages: dull, dull, dull - and not cheap either
...in my room at the Holiday Inn in Paris St Germain de Pres I couldn't help but reflect that the designers drew heavily from that area of the colour palette best characterised by the term 'nicotine'. Not a popular colour card at the 'mix your own Dulux' decorator centre and with good reason. This is a Holiday Inn that's badly in need of refurbishment and I was rather relieved to only be there for the one night. My room was quite astonishingly drab ... ...Good job the Americans invented Holiday Inn so he can't hold that against the French. My colleague said he was jealous and would rather be in my shoes with Paris at my feet for the evening but I wasn't in any mood to take advantage of it. I was on my own, tired and I had work to do.
I pre-booked online at the Holiday Inn website which they always say is the cheapest way to book but it also means you have to pay in advance. I later found out that ...

A lovely hotel for a romantic weekend away...
Advantages: Excellent location, lovely, newly refurbished rooms, very helpful staff Disadvantages: None
...partner and I visited the Eiffel Seine hotel, Paris, in November 2005, and we were very pleasantly surprised by what we found. After scouring the internet for a reasonably priced long weekend away, we finally booked Paris through Thomson Cities, travelling on Eurostar, staying at this 3* hotel at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. The cost quoted on the website was £135 per person for three days including travel, which we thought was very reasonable, ... ...reccomend a stay at the Eiffel Seine. The location of two minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower couldn't be more perfect for a romantic break away. The building work was due to be completed in December 2005, and if the rest of the hotel matches the quality of the rooms then it's definitely worth a visit. If we visit Paris again I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel. ...

...cook, and we decided on Le meridian hotel in Montparnasse – Paris.
The hotel was built in 1974 and has 25 floors, with eight lifts (elevators) and 953 rooms.
The hotel offers a range of ‘extras’ including, 24 hour room service and reception and concierge desk: Fax machine, interconnecting rooms, e-mail facilities, Currency exchange, Laundry/dry cleaning service, Safe deposit and express check out. I expect these are the norm these days.

Hotel International
Advantages: Location, breakfasts Disadvantages: Poor rooms
...breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions ... ...We arrived at the hotel at about 8pm. The reception area is small. We assumed that they would speak English but tried out our limited French anyway, along with our hilarious 'Allo 'Allo style accents. Thankfully our French was not tested too greatly - although some of the reception staff at other times were less proficient in English so a vague idea of hotel French may be beneficial. We were given the enormous key after paying the remainder of the ...

Wonderful and romantic Parisian hotel
Advantages: Situated in pedestrianised street, full of cafes and shop, near Louvre Disadvantages: None that I found
About a month ago my boyfriend suprised me with a trip to Paris! Lucky enough you might think - but the fact that we stayed at this hotel just made it all the better.
The hotel is situated on Rue de Montorgueil (No. 56), 75002 . When you first approach the hotel (about 20 mintues walk from the main train station) it seems quite easy to miss, surrounded as it is by cafes with their tables spilling out onto the otherwise quiet and pedestrianised street, ... ...stretches back far behind the street.
The lobby is small but very comfortable and beautifully clean and decorated, with dark wood and bright cream carpets. The reception staff are incredibly friendly. Everyone spoke English, but they also tolerated our poor excuse for French, and did everything possible to make us feel at home.
Breakfast is served in a seperate dining room to the back of the hotel, also beautifully decorated, with wooden floors, ...
